CHAPTER 16💞💞💞💞

" what are you doing here? ",Elizabeth asked agitatedly. Her breathing rasped and she looked like she had seen a ghost.

"wow Maria!. You think it was easy finding you?",the stranger asked.

"well it wasn't. I went to every city, state all over the world and there was no sign of you. Until, I saw an advertisement",the stranger chuckled as he motions to the living room.

Inside the room, he observes the paintings,decorations, pictures and arrangement of every thing in sight.
Elizabeth hurries to the living room. Her legs moved faster than she had ever carried them.

"I am talking to you. How did you find me? ",Beth insisted. The stranger's rapt attention was broken due to her words. He turns around and motions to a chair by the fire place. His legs crossed and arms placed on both arms of the chair.

Elizabeth lost every ounce of patience she had left. She scrambles to him, grips his shirt and slaps him hard.

"I will ask you one last time, how did you find me?" Elizabeth's eyes become blood shot mixed with worry, fear and agitation.

"can you stop all these nonsense Maria! I love this shirt, he said as he releases himself from her death grip".

"you of all people should know that I love printed shirts" he said with a smirk on his face.

Elizabeth didn't notice his dressing until he brought it to her notice. All her attention was focused on the fact that he found her.

"Maria darling!" the stranger muttered as he got up from the chair. He motions to her direction and grips her hand. "I found you through an advert in a magazine. That lovely magazine was titled "WEDDING OF THE CENTURY". Your picture and name made me realise that the little bird I have been searching for is in England, in Avebury boulevard all along".

The stranger's smile exposed dimples and arches present on his face. Those asset made him look ravishing. His eyes were green in colour enough to make any woman crumble. His eyebrows were as full as a garden and he had just the right shape for a nose".

Elizabeth's eyes shot wide after hearing the stranger's confession.

She looked lost and agitated. Words could hardly form. Eventually the right words came out
" why were you searching for me Jose?" Elizabeth asked.

"w-w-we had promised not to see each other again. So why did you look for me?" Elizabeth asked as tears formed in her eyes.

Laughing hysterically, Jose remarked," we didn't promise anything Maria. You being the slot you are ran away and left me behind " his smile changed in to an angry look, portraying different emotions which were deadly.

"you Bitch left me to face the wrath of the gang alone. And do you know something?" Jose asked as he grabbed Beth forcefully.

"I never stopped thinking of you after you betrayed me. The love I have for you grew stronger, but it is diminishing gradually by seeing you in the arms of another man". Jose said while pointing to Kent and Beth's wedding picture.

Elizabeth couldn't hold back the tears as Jose shouted. She grabs his hands with the intention of taming the storm.
"Jose you need to leave. Nobody can find out about you, me or even the gang. That was a very long time ago and I have moved on"Elizabeth paused when she heard Sasha's door.

"mum!"Sasha shouted.

Elizabeth froze at the sound of her voice. Her words were stuck in her vocal cavity. Her eyes moved as if they were looking for answers. Eventually, she muttered whilst holding Jose's mouth
" what do you want Sasha?" she said with a fake smile.
Sasha shouted from the hall way" where do you keep your nail filer? I can't seem to find mine".

"oh! It is by my dressing table inside a drawer",Elizabeth said as she mustered the courage to hide her feelings.

"alright. Thank you" Sasha replied.

Elizabeth lost her balance as Jose threw her hands off his mouth. "are you crazy? Why did you do that? Oh you don't want that beautiful daughter of yours to know am here?" Jose said with a smile.

To his surprise,Elizabeth didn't find it funny. Her eyes carried no emotion as she grabbed his hand and dragged him to the front door. " we have different lives now Jose. You are my past and I don't revisit my past.",Elizabeth said whilst she took in a deep breath.

" I do not want to ever see you. Ever in my life again. So stop searching and find a life", she spat.

"Wow wow wow! I should find a life! Really? You destroyed my life. Loving you has made me like this. I lost everything because I fell for your tricks. It is because of you I am nobody,to the gang, to my family and to the whole world". Jose shouted.

"I should kill you right now, but no I will ensure you suffer. Before coming here I met someone. Someone who provided me with information about Lincoln.", Jose remarked.

"yes Lincoln" am sure you remember Lincoln. The man we assigned you too and am sure you remember what transpired between you too. Am also sure you remember that CHILD",Jose said with the widest smile on his face. I such a smile was not to be trusted. It spelt the devils advocate.

Elizabeth's eyes shot wide open after hearing the name of a man she never wanted to remember. " hoe dare you mention his name. You know that man was the devil. He was a monster. How dare you mention his name?, Elizabeth screamed as she motions to slap Jose.

Jose stops her hand mid way. "you won't dare do that again. And I know you hate Lincoln, but I work for him now and I have vowed to make your life a living hell", Jose remarked angrily.

He turned to the door, but stops mid way, turning, he muttered "I pity that Child" and walks away. " I will be back my love, welcome to hell!", he said as he walks out.

Elizabeth was destabilized for a while. The name Lincoln gave her shivers and that child made her recall her past. " no!!" Beth screamed as she fell to the ground. Her breathing rasped, blood rushed to her head, she felt like hell. This was hell.

The knock on the door drew her attention. She prayed it wasn't Jose. Standing up with little energy, she opens the door. Behold it was Kent!. Kent looked shocked as his wife looked like she had just fought a ghost from sucking her life. All her energy has gone.

Elizabeth smiled at Kent before taking a one way ticket to the ground. The last thing she heard was "Beth!".

Hey guys! Been a long time. Sorry for not updating. I have been caught up with school and stress. I really missed writing and I missed your lovely comments and beautiful likes on that CUTE star.
