CHAPTER 17💜💜💜

"Beth! Wake up Beth! "Kent shouted to no avail. Elizabeth had not regained consciousness ever since he got back from work. She had opened the door and the expression on her face looked like she had seen a ghost. He was dumbstruck seeing her body fall to the ground; everything happened so fast and he couldn't even do anything.
 
Moving towards the toilet, Kent decided to have a bath, at least to take his mind of things. It has been three hours since the incident and he felt sweaty all over.
"Father! Father! " he heard making him pause in his steps, he turns his body towards the flung open door to witness the worried look on his daughter's face.

Sasha ran towards Kent and is engulfed in a warm embrace. Tears from the abyss of her heart began gushing out. "what happened Dad? I had earphones on the whole time it wasn't until now i saw your message. " Sasha said in tears.
" what happened to her? Why is she unconscious?" Sasha asked.

Kent sniffed back the mucus about to drop from the tears formed in his eyes. He mutters " I don't know darling. She opened the front door for me and fainted immediately. I couldn't even catch her."

"Goodness! It has been how long?" Sasha asked almost in a whisper.

" Three hours darling." Kent replied whilst removing his hands from their tight embrace.

"shouldn't we take her to the hospital or call a home doctor?" she asked in between sobs. I have called doctor Newman, but his cell phone is switched off." Kent remarked.

" so what will happen now?" Sasha asked.
"well, since your mum's breathing is in tact, am sure she will be awake by tomorrow." Kent said.

"Hmmmmmmmm!" Sasha sighed as she takes a long look at her mother. It shocked her to see her quiet, not shouting. She looked almost dead. Although that's not true because her chest is rising and falling.

"Darling I will go have my bath." Kent remarked before placing a kiss on Sasha's forehead.

"Alright Dad." she said softly. I will go fix your dinner.

"Your mum is a strong woman you should always know that. Don't worry too much about her." Kent said as a suggestion to get Sasha to stop thinking.

"Do you remember that child? Do you? Do you? Do you Maria?

"Nooooooo!" Elizabeth screamed as she regains her consciousness. She breaths rapidly like her life depends on it. Looking around, it occurs to her that it is her bedroom. As she motions to relax her head back on the pillow, she hears voices that sounded like they are approaching the room.

"Kent!" she mutters as the door flung open.

"Beth! Oh my God! You are awake." Kent shouted as he ran towards his wife and pulls her in for a hug. " I missed you." he whispered.

"Hello!" the doctor muttered interrupting their romantic session.

"OH! Beth this is Doctor Newman. He's here to examine you." Kent said happily.

" nice to meet you sir." Beth said as she stretches her hands to doctor Newman for a hand shake.

"and you too Mrs Stone. Shall we begin? " the doctor asked.
"of course!" Elizabeth said with a plastered smile on her face.

"I will go call Sasha she has been worried about you." Kent remarked as he leaves the room.
On knocking on Sasha's door he hears her shout. It almost seems as if she was on the phone arguing with someone.
  As he turns the knob the shouting ended. Kent opens the door to find Sasha by the window fuming over something he is curious to know.

He motions towards her a she didn't even notice his presence. He touches her shoulder and the next thing he heard was Sasha scream.
"Dad you scared the fuck out of me. Why didn't you knock?" Sasha screamed.

" I didn't but I stopped when I heard you arguing over the phone." Kent said in his defense. " Hmmmmmmmm! It's nothing." Sasha said trying to end the drama that is about to erupt.

"are you sure Sasha?" Kent asked trying to confirm her answer.
" yes Dad. Yes!" Sasha reassured

"alright! So your mum is awake."Kent said happily.
" wow ! That's great news." Sasha said in a broad smile.

" shall we?" Kent asked
"yes. Let's go see her." Sasha replied.

"Mrs Stone's blood pressure is on the rise. You will have to do everything possible so as not to trigger it", doctor Newman said in a stern tone.

" no problem doctor. I will do all that's possible to prevent that."Kent replied.

"alright! I shall have one last check of her eyes before leaving." doctor Newman said before motioning towards Beth. After checking her he whispers in Beth's ears"Have a good day Maria." before taking his leave.

Beth's eyes widened after hearing his words. She couldn't process how he knew her as Maria. The more she thought about it, the stranger everything became to her. "Hey!" Kent's voice pulled her back from the mountain of thoughts she was about to climb.

" are you tired?" Kent asked
"no am not."she said in a reassuring voice.

"How are you feeling mum?" Sasha asked.
" I'm good as you can see." Beth replied.

"why isn't Aaron here?", Beth asked inquisitively." didn't you tell him about my incident or you are that selfish with him that you don't want him to show your mother some love?",Beth said teasingly.

Sasha couldn't wrap her mind around the words that flew out of her mother's mouth. "wow mum! Even in your sick state all you think of is Aaron and money. Can't you for once think of your health? ",Sasha asked softly.

"hey! What I think of is my business. Now call Aaron to come here", Beth demanded.

"unfortunately mum I won't! ",Sasha remarked.

"really? ",Beth said while laughing.

"darling Sasha call Aaron and fix what ever problem you two have. I want to see you and Aaron together. Do you hear me",Beth said sternly.

"mom even up till now you still haven't gotten it in to your head that I will never get in to a relationship with Aaron. I would like you to reflect on my words -NEVER-",Sasha said as she motions for the door.

"you will definitely marry Aaron darling. That I promise you ",Beth remarked making Sasha stop in her steps.
'I will get you married to him by force, by persuasion, by shouting and even if I have to drag you to him I will darling daughter ",Beth spat.

Her words registered deeply in Sasha's thoughts. Her mum's daily threats never stop scaring her. Composing herself Sasha leaves the room.

"I promise you that darling! ",Beth shouted to ensure Sasha hears it. "Also, don't forget to call Aaron. I need to see him".
