we will be only posting 2 chapters a weekend (one on Saturday, one on Sunday)

(y/n) pov

Dan and Phil were eating dinner and I was perched on the breakfast bar, twirling my hair. Dan seemed very uncomfortable, as he still wasn't used to me. I understand it was a shock to have the dead, former owner of your flat, haunting you, and now suddenly you can see them.

Ok, now I realise how shocking that would be, but I had good reason. I was saving Dan's life, but he hasn't said anything about not going to Phil.

"Well that was some good pizza." Phil said, standing up. Dan stood up, and looked over to me, swallowing nervously. I gave him a slight nod.

"Hey Phil, you know how the YouTube party is on Saturday?" Dan asked, sitting in his usual spot on the couch.

"Yeah, what about it?" Phil questioned, scrolling through Netflix.

"I'm not feeling too great, I don't think I can go." he explained casually, but I could see how he was nervous.

"Oh, well I guess." Phil sounded slightly upset.

They started to watch a movie, and I sat with Dan. He glanced over at my spot, I gave him a small smile. I wanted to make him feel more comfortable with me considering I can't leave and it's my fault he can see me. He smirked back at me, and went back to watching the movie.

I got bored waiting around for them to finish their movie, and floated over to Dan's room. I sat in my usual spot, on top of the dresser. I looked out the window at the speckled night sky of London. Usually there was cloudiness blocking the stars, but they were out tonight. I stared through the window, until Dan had came in to sleep.

"Hey (y/n)." Dan said, his voice timid as he shut the door. I turned around, I could tell he was trying not to make eye contact.

"Hi Dan." I said, respecting his wishes and looking down.

"So do you wanna talk, or-" I smiled and laughed, cutting him off.

"Dan, you make this so awkward, just think of me as you know, another human." I say, turning my gaze to him.

"See there's a flaw with that. I'm awkward around all people." Dan chuckled quietly, sitting on his bed. I could tell he was trying not to tip off Phil that he was talking to someone.

"Well, how about we start from square one?" I suggested, floating over and sitting with him. He turned to me.

"What, me being scared out of my mind?" Dan said. I giggled.

"No, I mean let's start as if we just met at a party or something." I said, standing up, and started to pretend to walk up to Dan.

"Hi, im (y/n)." I held out my hand, then quickly jerked it back, realizing Dan's hand would go straight through.

"Hi, I'm Dan." he said smiling. "This is so stupid." he said.

"Fine. How about we just ask each other questions?" I asked, going back to the dresser.

"I was thinking that maybe, we should just have a conversation?" Dan questioned, pulling his legs up to sit crossed legged.

"Fine, so what's your opinion on living with me?" I asked.

"Well, I have a lot of questions, but I'll start with how I feel about it." he said, leaning back. I just nodded and let him continue.

"Its weird. I never really believed in ghosts. But now, literally right in front of me, is a ghost, and I just can't believe it." he said, when he finished he just stared at me.
