Calum POV

Where did I have to start, I was extremely nervous and had no clue what to say. I saw two boys, one tall blonde and one with curly golden locks. I thought he tallest one looked nice, so I tried talking to him. "Hey, umm, I'm C-Calum." I stuttered. The boy looked up and down, he scanned my entire body, then he spoke up. "Hey, I am Lucas, but you can call me Luke," He said with a warm smile. Now I had to face the one with the golden locks. So I turned my face to him and he started to speak before I could "You already told Luke who you are, so that's cool. I'm Ashton, bt just say ash" he said, he seemed kind. Ash looked like a cool guy, someone I certainly could hang out with him. I kinda liked the idea of new friends, they did not know me and they didn't think I was weird. It was something new for me, and it scared me..

" Are you gonna come in or stay on the front porch forever?" Michael asked laughed awkwardly in response. I notice I have been smiling a lot, I do not know if it was because I am nervous or just happy. I walked in slowly, not sure what was waiting for me. I was extremely scared I would say or do something wrong. I followed Luke to wherever they were walking. His house was beautiful and gorgeous. I was white, mixed with some cool toned grays'.

I kinda stood there, while everyone just sat down. I thought it was not polite to sit down if someone did not tell you to. Especially at a strangers' house. "Sit down, nobody will bite," Ashton said kindly. They laughed and I felt like they laughed at me. I sat down on the chair next to Luke. Ashton and Michael were sat down on the couch. "So, Calum, tell me something about yourself," Ashton said. "So.. I am Calum, Calum Hood. I am Native Kiwi, not Asian. I enjoy singing and doing some stuff on the bass. Nothing special" I said softly. "And where do you live?" Luke asked me kindly, curiosity in his eyes. I looked hopeless at Michael, not being sure if I should be honest or lie about the situation. He gave me a slight nod, letting me know it would be safe to tell it. I inhale sharply, nervous about their reaction. "Well, technically I live on Lunastreet 780A, but things went wrong yesterday. I packed my bags and left home. When I sat on down on this bench, shortly after I met Michael. When I told him he said I could crash at his house tonight. If Michael wouldn't be there at the right time, I probably would have slept on that bench," I told them. "Right time, right place" Luke smiled and back smiled at him. I do not know if I ever get used to people being so nice to me, because like, nobody ever been nice to me. All people ever did was be mean "You said you could sing right, maybe let us hear something?" Ashton asked. I nodded and I started singing. When I started singing all my worries went away.

"Don't wanna be an American idiot

Don't want a nation under the new media

And can you hear the sound of hysteria?

The subliminal mind-fuck America

Welcome to a new kind of tension

All across the alien nation

Where everything isn't meant to be okay

Television dreams of tomorrow

We're not the ones who're meant to follow

For that's enough to argue

Well maybe I'm the faggot America

I'm not a part of a redneck agenda

Now everybody do the propaganda

And sing along to the age of paranoia

Welcome to a new kind of tension

All across the alien nation

Where everything isn't meant to be okay

Television dreams of tomorrow

We're not the ones who're meant to follow

For that's enough to argue"

They smiled and I looked at them worried "Your voice is great" Michael said happily "It fits so well with the band" Ashton looked at me. Luke looked at Michael and Calum, and they both nodded. I had no idea what was happening and what they just decided on. "You play the bass, you can sing. We are missing a bass in the band, so if you'd like to you maybe could join the band" Luke explained, the nodding and what Ashton said just fell into place. "Yes, I think I would love to join you." I responded to Luke.

Michael POV

I was quite surprised about Calum and his voice. I never thought he was this good, he was unpredictable. I still feel sorry for hi, luckily he had some click with my friends. "Do you like to go at a bar or something?" I asked Calum. He smiled, that was definitely a yes. We leaved the house immediately. We seriously didn't know where we had to go. But we had lots of fun walking around. Calum was laughing with Luke. Woah, it looks like they know each other for years. At least they were talking like that. I was talking to Ashton about some music. I even didn't know what I have to say towards Calum. I was too shy, which I really needed to stop. It was very annoying when I was talking to a girl. I only can laugh at them as a creepy idiot. Whatever, my friends were good enough. At least to me, I laughed of my thoughts. We walked down the streets. It didn't matter what we were doing, we had fun. That was the most important thing, I fucking love them like a family!
