Chapter 7

Penny

          Ana seems pretty cool.

Loki is definitely not used to being turned down and I t's quite funny to watch actually. I think a girl like Ana is just what he needs. Someone to put him in his place. Challenge him a little.

Every time I go over to the guy's apartment they always have different girls coming out of their bedrooms. Loki and my brother Riley mostly. Fabian is a lot quieter and doesn't seem to be the player type, but I've only just joined The Fallen.

"Right, you losers coming or what?" I stand up and pull Ana up off the sofa. Loki narrows his eyes at me but I choose to ignore him. He may be our Prince and all but it doesn't stop me winding him up.

That's the benefit of having Riley as a brother. Him and Loki are pretty close. I mean they all share an apartment for fallen's sake. Fabian and Riley are both Loki's body guards. They are strong, fearless angels and they don't take any crap. I take after my dad with my strength and so does Riley. I was born with pink hair for some reason unknown to me. I look at the others and see Riley's hand on one of the blonde girl's leg.

"Riley!" I snap at him as he turns to glare at me.

          'What', he mouths.

"You coming?" I ask raising my eyebrows.

          "Coming where?" Blondie asks me.

"Lots of drinks, dancing and fit guys!" I raise my eyebrows up and down and Ana laughs.

"Yeah totally!" She begins to get up with her other two friends and Riley's hard expression burns into me. I smirk at him knowing I've pissed him off.

"What are everyone's names again?" I ask Ana's friends.

"Taylor, Tiff and Abbie." The red head speaks up.

Loki stands up and so do the other two. Ugh. They're not going to be very fun. They act like my big brother brigade. We need to ditch them really. I really need a girls night out soon.

"Come on then!" I grab Ana's arm and weave my way through the crowd. I push and shove people out of my way. It's easy to barge past people with the strength we possess. As we hit the dance floor, strangers are grinding up against each other and with no effort I push them apart.

"Excuse me, excuse me," I weave through the crowd, "excu- eww!" I find two people going at it behind the stage and me and Ana stop in our tracks, actually lost for words.

Finally we hit the chilly, moonlight air. Being part of The Fallen we always feel better outside, especially at night.

"The bar is this way." I point as Ana walks next to me.

"So, are you a student?" She asks.

"I will be after the summer." I smile and she starts to get excited.

          "Me too!" She grins.

          "Really? What are you studying?"

          "English, philosophy, and astronomy."

"Wow." I answer. She just gets cooler by the minute. "Astronomy?"

"Yeah it sounds weird but I love learning about the stars and planets." She starts to look down at the floor, clearly embarrassed.

"No, I think it's cool." I giggle. As we turn to corner we find the others dragging behind us.

"Come on, slow pokes!" I shout behind us as Loki gives me another glare. I laugh.

Loki and the two guys walk with the other girls, the two blondes both flank Riley on either side and the redhead walks next to Fabian chattering away and for once Fabian actually laughs. Fabian is so cold sometimes that I forget he has a sense of humour underneath it all. Loki on the other hand seems to be walking a little ahead of the others and if he wanted to, he would have caught Ana and I up already but I have a feeling he wants us to be friends.

"So how do you know the guys?" Ana looks at me dragging her feet across the floor.

          "I'm Riley's sister." I smile.

          "Oh, right." Ana laughs.

"You didn't think there was anything going on with me and them, did you?" I raise an eyebrow.

          "Maybe-" She starts.

"Eww no," I laugh, "they are like my brothers."

          Ana giggles.

"So you like Loki?" I wiggle my eyebrows up and down. Ana laughs and shakes her head.

"He's alright, I suppose." She dismisses the subject. I decide I like her and to give her some advice.

"He likes a challenge. If you like him, make him chase you." I smirk. Ana shakes her head.

"I'm putting off guys at the moment."

"How come?" We turn the another corner noticing the club is just up the road. The line is massive but that won't be a problem for us.

"Just had enough of them." She smiles weakly.

I know what that means. She's had a stupid ex-boyfriend that cheated on her or worse. I've used that excuse a million times but it doesn't stop me having my fun.

As we walk, I feel my dress riding up my legs and have to keep pulling it back down. We get a few whistles from a few guys on our left. I look behind us and can't see the others anymore due to the crowds but I'm sure they're not too far behind. Slowpokes. I smile to myself.

My feet are starting to hurt in these heels as well. When me and Ana finally reach the entrance we hand over our ID's and get let in straight away.

"Penny." The security guard nods at me. I nod back as Ana gives me a weird look.

"I didn't sleep with him, if that's what you're thinking." I laugh raising an eyebrow at her.

          "No I didn't-"

"He's my cousin." I push her shoulder as she nods in understanding. We make our way to the bar, waiting for the others. A few guys on our right immediately spot us. They look like a rugby team with the way they're built. The biggest of them all leans against the bar, his eyes catching our gaze and he waves. The group of guys seem to be talking amongst themselves until they all look around at us.  Ana seems oblivious to them.

"Can I buy you lovely ladies a drink?" The leader of the group walks over confidently.

Ana widens her eyes as I smile sweetly at him. I'm about to answer until Riley, Fabian and Loki walk in front of us.

"They already have one." Loki hands me and Ana a glass each and he glares at the guy standing in front of us. Ana shakes her head in defeat.

They're seriously no fun. The guy smirks at Loki. Oh god.

Loki quirks his mouth up in amusement. That guy really doesn't know who he's messing with. Loki could quite easily kill him in a second if he wanted to. We all could.
