Leaving Home

Jessica said her farewells and goodbyes to all of her friends and family. She drove home making many stops. She decided to enjoy her drive home. She arrived home late Friday night. Her feet were heavy as she walked up the stairs to her little apartment. Walking inside she felt her phone buzz. She looked to see a group text. It was made up of both her team and Dominic's team.
Dominic: who thinks we should have a get together so everyone can get to know each other?
John: That would be sweet dude.
Alex: Let's meet at McDonald's
Sam: I'm in.
Sarah: 1 pm work?
Everyone: yup. See y'all at 1 pm tomorrow at McDonald's!
Jessica laughed at how everyone was excited about McDonald's. They were really kids on the inside. She went inside and fell asleep quickly.
Jessica was awoken to her alarm clock screaming at her to get up. She hated that thing. She realized she may not use it for a while so she jerked the cord out of the wall. She rolled onto her back and looked at her ceiling. She got up and went to her window. She looked out over the city and saw that action was in full swing. It was only 9 am but everything was active. Jessica showered and got ready to see her team. She had a few hours before she'd have to leave. She took the time to pack her bags and wash any clothes that weren't washed. She cleaned and organized her whole apartment. She felt the urge to leave it as clean and tidy as possible in case something happened. She started out of her door to meet the team. She walked out to her car where she also saw the three siblings arguing over who gets to drive. Jessica laughed at them.
"Arguing just creates more problems than you solve. Also its 12:30!" Jessica yelled at them while getting in her car. She laughed as she drove off. Within a half hour she was surrounded by side familiar faces and some new faces. She saw Dominic, Aiden, Alex, John, Sarah, Darren, and Sam. The were also a set of twins that we on Dominic's team that she didn't know.
"To save us all the hassle we will each state our name and if you want to say your job feel free. I'll start. I'm Jessica Simons. Call me Jess. Anyhow I'm a sniper," she started. Soon everyone had said their names. Jess found out that the twins were named Josh and Jace. Everyone was eating as much as they could possibly eat. Jessica laughed at how much they ate. Jessica only got a large sweet tea, ten piece chicken nugget, a small fry, and a regular sized M&M Mcflurry. She could eat a lot if she tried but she wasn't big into eating more than needed. She decided that if was her last trip to McDonald's well she might as well get anything that she wanted. Everyone was laughing and talking. The teams merged together pretty well.
" So we've decided that after this tour we are going to finally leave one our contracts are up. They should be up in a few months," Sarah explained and John agreed.
"Well good. You both deserve a happy life together! I'm happy for y'all," Jessica exclaimed. She supported them a hundred percent.
"What about you?" John asked Jessica. Jessica looked around not knowing how to respond.
"Uh well this is my life. There's no reason to leave so I'm going to stay until I'm given a reason to leave. I know what I'm getting into don't worry about me I'll be fine," Jess explained. Everyone went silent. Silence never lasts though because Darren started talking about this new game and the other guys had to put in their in put about it. They mostly argued over how real it looked and if the guns were anything like they actually are in real life. The females just laughed at them and rolled their eyes at the childish behavior. Finally everyone was settled and relaxed with each other. Jessica was zoned out. She could not believe that this time tomorrow she'd be back in that country. It had taken so much time from her and so much I guess you could lave from her that she refused to loose her brother to. Those people would not take her only sibling from her like they took the love of her life. She was sure about that. Her thoughts were interrupted by someone calling out to her.
"Jess?" Someone asked. She snapped her head up and made a little Hm sound of aknoledgement. 
"What," she responded.
"Hey, are you ok? You seem out of it," Dominic replied.
"Uh I'm Uh yeah. I'm just thinking. You know what. It's getting late. I need to get home. Yeah I'm going home now. See y'all tomorrow bright and early for departure," Jess said with a fake smile before grabbing her stuff and then walking to her car. She looked up threw her windshield and saw Dominic looking at her through the window. He looked down and she felt her phone buzz.
Dominic: we're all worried. It's normal.
Jess: You guys shouldn't be worried. I'm gonna keep y'all safe no matter what. Good night Dominic. See you all bright and early.
Dominic: yeah, night, see you in the morning.
Jessica put her car in reverse and back out before straightening the wheel to go home. She finally reached her small apartment and walked inside. She instantly flopped onto her bed and fell asleep.
