Chapter Twenty-Nine: Cut Footloose

Which way is up, cause right now I have absolutely no fucking idea. Vic had his hand around my waist as we pushed through the people on the bus. I stole Tony's hat, and only half heard Vic telling me off and throwing Tony's hat back to him. I managed to trip over too. Hehe the world is spinning. Why is it spinning? Holy shit someone stop the spinning. I heard someone groan near my ear as someone arms slid behind my knees and across my waist. Suddenly the floor disappeared from under me. I screamed.

"Shh, it's ok. I just picked you up. You're fine, ok." His voice murmured in my ear. Hearing his voice, my scream faded and I started to relax to his scent. My back started tingling from his touch on my waist and legs. I felt a stupid smile form on my face and I sighed. I leant against his chest. I buried my face in his neck, my nose brushing his collarbone. I giggled when a piece of his hair tickled my nose. Even in the dark bus, I could see his smile. I was suddenly blasted with a cleaner air, slightly chillier compared to the bus interior. I shiver and goosebumps rose on my arms. I tried to curl closer to Vic, using his body heat for warmth. His arms tightened around me.

"Hey, is she alright?" I frowned slightly at the voice, but refused to open my eyes.

"Yeah Luke she's fine, she just had a bit much to drink. I'm gonna take her back to the bus." Luke? Oh yeah, the guitar dude that is like hitting on me. Right.

"I could take her if you want. You can go back and enjoy the party." My hands instantly curled in Vic's shirt, clinging to him, begging him to say no in a silent manner.

"It's fine, I wasn't really enjoying it that much anyways." I sighed, my breath dancing across Vic neck and I softly nuzzled him. I heard a quiet chuckle breath through him.

"Ok, just make sure she's alright." We were moving again. Surprisingly Vic slow walk was soothing. My hair softly swayed side to side with his step as I smiled.

"Thank you." I whispered. He softly squeezed me.

"Any day." I giggled and moved my head back, placing a kiss on his cheek. His chest rumbled with a laugh. I curled my head back to its position, my forehead pressed to his warm neck. I was kinda tired, but felt hyper awake at the same time.

It wasn't long before we were back inside a bus. This one is more like home to me. The smells had become familiar. Even the incredible bad ones, like Jaime's feet. Vic softly placed me on the ground, making sure I was steady.

"You wanna get into bed?" He asked me, keeping a palm on my back. I shook my head. Not a very good idea, because it made me dizzy.

"I wanna watch Footloose." He gave me a strange look.

"What?"

"I want to watch Footloose." I said slowly, as if talking to a child. His eyes narrowed at my slight mockery.

"I don't think we have Footloose." I gave him a grin and skipped off. I rummaged through my giant arse bag, managing to find the DVD.

"But I do." I said, waving it in front of his face. He watched me as I giggled and skipped up the bus to the back lounge. I slotted it in to one of the DVD players, hearing Vic pad in silently behind me. I heard a soft grunt as he took residence on the couch. After closing the disk tray, I grabbed the remote and rolled across the floor to the couch. I crawled up onto the couch, a distance away from Vic, before stretching out, laying my head in his lap. He stiffened in surprise, before relaxing and placing his hand in my hair.

"Do you need anything, like water or something?" I shook my head.

"I'm fine right now." The only sounds, were the very distance yells of people outside, and the movie starting.
