Chapter Thirty-Three: Blushing More Then The Bride.
As Bryan sat down with the guys asking the stupidest questions on the planet, Vic's eyes kept flicking to mine, and he would smirk and look away, putting his attention back on the interview. I would occasionally blush and look down.
"You guys were gone for a little while." I looked up toe see Luke sitting next to me. He had his eyes on Vic. I could almost smell jealousy pouring off him. I played with my fingers.
"He was pretty upset." That was not a lie.
"Then how'd you get him to come back all happy?" His voice had an edge to it. I had the urge to say I fucked him, but couldn't bring myself to say it.
"I talked to him and we settled things." I shrugged, trying to brush him off.
"Did he hurt you?" I flung my head up, blinking at him.
"What, no, why would you say that?" I question, a slightly disgusted look on my face.
"Sorry, you just said he was really angry."
"I said upset, not angry."
"Then what's that mark on your shoulder." He poked a tender spot, causing me to gasp slightly. I looked down at my shoulder, to see my love bite showing. I scrambled, pulling my sleeve up. I was now blushing madly, my neck itching.
"It's nothing." I said quickly. Luke raised an eyebrow, obviously realising, it was not in fact, a bruise.
"Well, now I understand." He muttered, before turning and sulking to Gus. I felt kinda bad for him, but I'm sure he already figured, I wasn't interested. I looked up and saw once again Vic was looking at me. He gave me a crooked smile and I felt my face light up with a smile too. Nothing could bring my mood down now.&&~&&
"Here comes the bride, all dressed in white." I sung off tune as Casey face appeared on the screen. She laughed at me, her eyes twinkling behind her glasses.
"Your brother is no help with the planning, I need my maid of honour." She pouted. I blew her a kiss.
"Don't worry baby, I'll be home soon." She blew back a few kisses.
"Anyways, what has been happening on this hell of a tour?" She questioned, resting her chin on her folded hands. I swung my feet in the air, tapping my finger on my chin.
"Nothing much, crazy fans, crazier bands, nothing different." I bite my lip repressing a smile.
"But there is one thing." I admitted, hiding my face slightly.
"When? How?" She already clicked on. I didn't reply, I just buried my face in my hands.
"I KNEW IT! RYAN OWES ME TEN BUCKS." She screeched loudly. She started doing a little dance singing 'I knew it, I knew it' over and over again. I giggled, rolling across my bunk slightly, groaning in my fingers.
"How how how!? I need details." She demanded. I sighed loudly before sitting up. I pulled my legs and sat with my legs crossed. I brushed my hair over my shoulder.
"Well, I kinda pissed him off really bad."
"Oh my god, you had hot hate sex didn't you?" She butted in eagerly. I laughed and shook my head.
"No it was more, 'we had an argument a made up'."
"And than made out and then aggressively threw off each other clothes." I glared at her. She wiggled her eyebrows and my glare broke into a wide smile."That totally didn't happen this morning." I mumbled. Casey made a weird snorting sound, her eyes wide.
"WHAT?!" She screeched, is winced at her loudness.
"Shhhh, keep it down. I don't wanna be deaf." I complained, itching my ear with my finger. She clapped her hands.
"No wonder you seem so cheery today." The ways she acted, reminded me of Isabel. I shivered slightly. I heard a door closed and I frowned, looking behind me.
"Honey, we're back." I heard my moms voice, realising it was on Casey side of the Skype call. I perked up.
"Is that my baby girl?" I yelled out.
"Mama?" I heard her tiny voice in the background. Someone then bounded on screen, colliding with Casey as she sat herself down. Even though I talked to her everyday, Annalise's hair had grown out and she already looked older and it's only been a month. Her curls bounced as her wide brown eyes stared at me.
"Hello my little baby chook." I cooed. I suddenly felt sad. I just wanted to hold my little girl again. I wish I could teleport through the screen and curl her in my arms and sing lullabies to her.
"Mommy! I miss you." She pouted and my heart clenched. I pushed away the tears in my eyes.
"I miss you too baby." I murmured before smiling.
"What have you been up to?" I asked my daughter, who was now snuggled in Casey's lap.
"Hey honey." My mom appeared in the background.
"Hey mom." I called, waving before Anna wiggled, trying to get my attention.
"Mama, mama Grams brought me an Ana dress." She squealed loudly, clapping excitedly.I looked at my mom, who was giving me a guilty look in the background.
"Grandma didn't have to do that." I spoke with my teeth clenched as my mom poked her tongue out at me. Anna eyes were alight with excitement.
"Can I show you?"
"Yes, yes go put it on." I replied excitedly as she skipped off, taking a bag off my mom. Casey turned on the couch and faced my mom.
"Guess who's back together." She chimed. My mom gasped, and placed her hands over her mouth looking at me.
"No way!" She yelled.
"Well not exactly." I added, annoyed at Casey's outburst. I know your excited and all, but don't tell my mother that I had make up sex with a guy.
"Yeah, they just screwed each other after fighting."
"Jesus Christ Case, your not suppose to tell my mom!" I freaked out as my mom gave me a stern look.
"You better have used protection young lady, I love having grandchildren, but I prefer the next one to be planned." I ran my hands over my face.
"This is embarrassing." I mumbled in my palms. My mom had now joined Casey on the couch.
"Honey, you're 28 and you have a daughter, I figured out that you had sex a long time ago. Remember you came crying to me after your first time."
"Mom, please god stop." I begged, as Casey laughed at me. As much as this was an embarrassing conversation, even after the day I had, I wanted nothing more them to be home with them. I wanted to curl up on the couch, my daughter snuggled in my side, Casey and Ryan cuddling next to us, while my mom tells me all about that stupid receptionist from her work place. My embarrassment formed into a sad kind of happiness, and longing.
"I miss you guys so much." I whispered. Mom and Casey both stopped giggling. My mom gave me her warm smile.
"We miss you too, pumpkin.""Look, look!" Anna squealed. Casey turned the camera and Anna stood in a blue dress, with the black bodice, exactly like Ana's in the movie. My daughter was grinning ear from ear, twirling to make sure I could see every aspect of it. I beamed at my little girl.
"You look beautiful." I said as Anna clapped her hands, jumping on the spot.
"I love it!"
"Say a big thank you for grandma, you spoilt thing." I giggled as Anna attacked my mom. Mom gave her a huge hug, saying she would get my daughter anything. If I died, at least I knew Anna was set up forever.
"Cat, where are you?" I heard Vic voice call down the voice.
"Do you wanna show daddy your new dress?" I asked Anna. Her widen and she nodded eagerly. I saw Casey and mom exchanged looks.
"I'm in my bunk, come here for a second." I yelled back.
"Quick, make yourself look pretty." Casey joked. I gave both Casey and my mom death glares.
"You say anything and I'll murder you." I hissed. Anna looked confused. I stuck my head out my bunk, to see Vic walking towards me, with a huge smile.
"What is it?" I grinned.
"Someone wants to show you something." I pulled my curtain back more, bring my iPad forward, revealing Anna staring eagerly through the screen. His eye brighten at the sight of small girl on the screen.
"Princess!" He exclaimed, showing his straight teeth.
"Daddy! Daddy! Look what Grams got me." She twirled again, showing off her dress. He gave a comical gasp.
"You look just like the girl of Frozen!" He exclaimed as she giggled, swaying on her heels. I patted the bed next to me and Vic climbed up. We both sat their, talking to my family, our family, for I don't even know how long. I know going home seemed so far away, yet I still could spend time with my family. I watched Vic in the corner of my eyes and I knew, that he was my piece of family. I was determined to not let him go now.
