Harry's POV

Walking back from my mothers office I smiled to myself as a warm fuzzy feeling erupted throughout my body. My thoughts were flooded with the same image, the hug that mother and father had given me. I finally have a family, I though to myself making my smile grow impossibly larger. I was so distracted by these thoughts that I didn't notice the person quickly coming towards me showing no signs of stopping. We collided and the books in their arms fell with a crash to the ground. I quickly got on my knees and scrambled to help pick them up.

I held two of them and began to reach for the other as the person copied my movements. Our hands touched for a moment and I felt sparks and quickly withdrew my hand my face beginning to heat up. I glanced up and watched as I easily identified the also flustered Draco Malfoy. He got up dusting off his robes and scowled at the state of his shoes. He finally glanced up at me realizing that I had been staring at him and blushed once more.

I passed back the books to him letting my hand linger on his before pulling it slowly away at the feeling of butterflies in my stomach. He gave me a small grateful smile then turned on his heels and continued to race through the halls. My heart pounded in my chest as I turned and sprinted back to the Gryffindor common room trying not to let the blush or tingling of my hand cloud my senses.

The portrait entrance came into my vision and I slowed saying the password when I was close enough. The portrait swung open and I made my way to my dorm thankful that no one had returned yet due to dinner beginning in a few minutes. I had already made up my mind to skip dinner too excited about getting to spend time with my father and mother in the upcoming afternoon to eat.

I waved my hand using wandless magic to change my school robes into nightwear and to brush my teeth. I jumped onto my bed reveling in the softness of the sheets and the way that it sank and folded under my body weight. Pulling the duvet over me I rolled over into my back and stared at the ceiling thinking about what had happened in the last few hours. My mind jumped back and forth from thoughts of my parents to the blonde Slytherin that I couldn't keep off my mind. In the end my mind settled on the latter and I sunk into a deep sleep wondering just what had happened when our hands touched and why he hadn't insulted me at the contact between us.

I slowly made my way down to the dungeons and turned down the hall that I knew led to the potions masters rooms. I quietly knocked on the portrait receiving no answer besides a glare and opened it with the password Severus had given me earlier. I silently prayed that he and dad looked decent before stepping into the large chamber. I heard snores coming from the open bedroom door and quietly peeked my head in. Mother lay in the bed his body sitting up as he read silently from a book on his lap. Father was curled up next to him, his arms wrapped tightly around the awake mans stomach. He glanced up and smiled at me before motioning for me to come in. He marked the book and closed it before turning to me and offering a hug. I gladly took it casting a glance to the sleeping man next to him. "He sleeps like the dead, don't worry about him" mother said laughing lightly at the surprised expression on my face. "Good morning Alex, how did you sleep?"

I smiled and responded just as quietly. "Quite well thank you. Good morning to you too mum. Would you like tea?" He nodded his head before turning to untangle himself from the sleeping man. A whine was heard and the sleeping man began to reach out unconsciously for the missing warmth. Mother slid a pillow into his arms and watched as he hugged the offered pillow tightly to his chest a sigh of content leaving his lips. Mum and I snickered at his peaceful expression before padding softly to the door, leaving it open incase he woke up.

"So Alex, why are you up so early on a Friday? You have a bit more time before anyone else gets up." I shrugged my shoulders and filled up the kettle that was on the stove. Severus moved to shift through the cabinets pulling out tea bags and glasses for us to use.

" I just really wanted to come back and see you. Besides once i'm awake, i'm awake." He turned to me looking curious by my words.

" bad dream?" I shook my head causing relief to flood his eyes.

"Something different I suppose." He nodded in response before pulling the kettle off the fire and begging to prepare tea for three. I raised an eyebrow the third cup but he responded with only a shrug and continued working on his task. When he had finished small footsteps could be heard coming from the bedroom as Tom walked in his hair and clothing looking very rumpled. Mother raised the tea cup over his head in offering and the taller man took it, kissing him gently on the head before walking back to the bedroom after giving me a small smile. I smiled at their actions before I remembered what had happened between Draco and I. A slight blush covered my cheeks and mother raised his eyebrows a small smirk coming onto his face.

" So... You found your mate?"

Originally this chapter had no published smut in it because of personal reasons but I decided to add it back after a bit of thought. If you're uncomfortable by it that's okay you can choose to skip it. I always put warnings before adding anything too upsetting or something that someone else might be uncomfortable with.
