10- Explaining Everything

Alexander's POV

I led Draco into the hallway stopping him steps before we reached the sitting room. I held out my hand and smirked at the reaction he gave me. "My name is Alexander Thomas Riddle-Snape but you may call me Alex."

"Draconian Lucius Malfoy but you can call me Draco." I laughed at his antics and led him into the sitting room immediately seeing my parents curled up on the couch waiting for us.

"THEYRE ALIVE! OH MY GOD! SEVVY LOOK!" Tom snickered and Sev slapped him on the head getting another loud laugh from Tom. Draco snorted at their antics and watched along with me as Severus was pulled onto Toms lap and ambushed with kisses.

"Tom! There are children in the room." Tom continued to kiss him earning a groan from Sev and for me to cover my eyes. Draco snickered then walked forward tapping Tom on the shoulder. Tom stopped kissing Severus and glanced over at Draco his eyes lighting up.

"DRAGON! My favorite nephew! How are you?" He pulled Sev into his side holding him on his lap and turned to Draco engaging in conversation. I glanced at mother and rolled my eyes before sitting down on the loveseat next to Draco. Draco scooted closer to me unknowingly and mother smirked and then turned to Draco listening to he was saying.

"As Alex has recently informed me of everything I'd like to ask your permission to court him, if that's alright?" Draco said this nervously looking at me the whole time. My parents turned to each other then locked eyes having a silent conversation before coming to an agreement.

"You May court him under one condition." Draco looked eagerly at Tom hanging on to his every word and motioning for him to continue. "Sev and I want to be the ones to tell your mother of the news." Draco flushed earning a laugh from both mother and father while I looked on confused. "I haven't spoken to my dear Cissa in months," Tom mumbled thoughtfully causing Draco to turn a darker red.

"I'm confused?" I turned my face towards my parents hoping they would explain but it was Draco in the end who spoke up.

"Mother and father are a bit... uh..... enthusiastic? About my umm love life."
Mother snickered as father muttered loud enough for us to hear.

"A bit?" Draco glared at them then turned away from me trying to hide the blush that was creeping it's way back into his face.

"Cissa and Lucius have known about Draco's 'little' crush on you for forever. They're going to go crazy when they find out." I laughed as Draco grumbled under his breath and placed my hand on his knee to calm him. He froze at my touch then turned to me and gave me a small smile before turning back to my parents who were watching with smirks on their faces.

"Alright! Down to the basics love birds. Alex is a submissive Veela and Draco a dominant correct?" We both nodded our heads and turned our attention towards mother who was speaking. "I'll start with Draco because it's simpler. Dominant Veela are pretty common in a sense that you find them more than submissives. Dominants take care of the submissive and guard them along with the young that are produced. They have black wings and usually are really strong and built for fighting anything that threatens their mates. However they do have really short tempers and can only be calmed by their mates at certain times." He pauses before continuing.

"Submissive veelas are similar but different because their wings are a snowy white color. They are easily emotional and can be overcome with emotion that sometimes makes it so that even their mate can't calm them. Submissives are built to protect their young and care for them along with their mates at times. The thing that makes them completely different is that only submissives can bear children." I blushed while Draco looked at me smiling.

"W-wait. I'm a guy? How would that even work?" I stuttered over my sentence looking down at my lap in embarrassment.

"When you and your mate, well Draco... when you sleep together unprotected using your Veela sides you can become pregnant. There are higher chances during your heats but that's not important right now. Anyway when you do this you carry the child for nine months and give birth similar to the muggle way. Your body creates a uterus and then the baby is released from your body through your bum or your stomach." Mother finished his statement blushing furiously and clutching fathers hand.

"I have so many questions..." I trailed off noting Draco's hand inching up my leg and stopping on my stomach. He smiled at me softly before turning back to my parents that were watching us.

"I don't want grandchildren for a couple of years. Please and thank you. Draco I'm looking at you."Draco looked innocently at Sev while Tom was trying to hold in his laughter. Just as mother opened his mouth to say something else I yawned making father chuckle. Draco stood and walked over to them and motioned for Tom to follow him. Dad walked with him into the kitchen leaving mother with a soft kiss on the cheek. I glanced back at them watching Draco leave a frown on my face. Mother turned to me and smirked before clearing his throat causing me to startle and blush.

"Do you understand the courting rules?" I shook my head a reaction which he must have suspected and began to speak softly. "Courting is basically the Veela and wizard way of creating a relationship which ends in marriage or in your case bonding. A person would usually ask permission of the person or their parents for their permission to court said person. They give the person gifts and take them on dates to show their love and how they want to support them in the future. The courting is used to show the potential in a suitor and to get the one being courted to fall in love with them. Do you understand Alex?" I nodded my head glancing towards the kitchen wishing Draco was back at my side. Mother stood up walking towards me and lifted my face towards his.

"Don't make it easy on him Alex. Make your tests hard." My eyes widened in surprise as he kissed my forehead and said goodnight waving back to me after retreating into his room. I shook my head and schooled my face into a bored expression as Draco and father returned. Father glanced around his eyebrows furrowing before he looked towards me. I began to laugh watching his facial expressions.

"Bedroom," I eventually choked out and his eyebrows raised in surprise before he turned away without giving us a second glance, leaving with the word 'Night!' I continued to laugh Draco joining me as I stood and walked towards him. "Use protection!" I called out still laughing. He stopped laughing and pulled me close to him leaning me into his chest.

"I'm going to head back to my common room. Goodnight sweetheart." I blushed while he took the opportunity to kiss me on the cheek before walking out of the rooms leaving me to my thoughts. I sighed dreamily and walked to my own room praying that my parents had placed silencing charms before 'sleeping'.
