ACT iii

chapter nineteen; strange love

i never thought my life would end up in such a way, but here i was on the bathroom floor at the surella.

the surella was a new night club that everyone began to go to. they'd serve to anyone. in the back of the room, you could buy from the dealers. most of the time they had good stuff.

i wasn't sure if i was given something bad, or if i had too much, but i had been throwing up for a while now.

"come on mars, let's go." titus' tired voice called out while he knocked on the door.

"the nights young." i slurred, taking some of the toilet paper and wiping my mouth.

"what the fuck." he murmured. "i'm going home, you can do whatever you want." the door to the bathroom slammed shut as i opened the stall and looked around.

no one was in the room as i went to the sink and splashed my face.

red outlines my eyes and my lips were a little chapped. i guess i really was a mess.

someone has called me a couple weeks ago, but i didn't know if it was real.

trey's guy had been silent since he left. he probably didn't find anything because my friends were right; the badlands was a big place.

i patted my pockets, taking out a stick of gum before walking out of the bathroom.

colored lights shine in my eyes as the world kept spinning.

i'd given up on it all. i would probably stay in the kingdom and live to fill out my father's job. maybe i'd have a kid, i didn't know if i wanted one.

i had some edibles with me while i ate some of it, i use to feel the rush, but everything seemed to be bland now.

i stood still for a moment, letting everything from the outside world filter out from my mind.

i felt guilty for leaving my friends behind. i guess i've been too busy with myself.

i think i has to finally admit to myself that i'll never see venus again.

i looked around, watched everyone dance around as i went to get a beer. my shoulder holsters were empty since there was a no gun policy. i wasn't mad about it though, it made sense.

i took a seat, taking out a small packet of white china before sticking my finger in it and then sniffing the powder.

"why're you looking so lonesome? someone like you should be partying." i looked up to see a girl around my age, her hair a deep red color as it cascaded down to her waist.

"huh?" i sat back in my chair as she let out a sultry chuckle.

"you want to have some fun?"
