Harry had his first sex crimes case under his apprenticeship. He'd gone back and forth over every detail he could see, trying to build his case. His mentor had been building it for weeks and now that Harry was under his wing, he was gonna let him have a go.

In the three days it took the jury to come back in, Harry was a nervous wreck. Maybe I didn't argue well enough. Maybe I forgot something. Maybe I confused the living hell out of my witness. Louis reassured him every time that he did great. He'd been there watching every little bit of his trial.

When he'd gotten the guilty verdict, he felt like he'd done his job as a prosecutor. And that that little girl wouldn't have to be afraid anymore.

By the time Louis had gotten home, harry was asleep on the couch. He still had his trainers, jeans, and t-shirt on. His hair was still pulled up. Louis chuckled as he tossed his bag down and kicked off his shoes. He dropped his shirt in the hamper just as he would any other night and went over to where Harry was asleep. He untied and pulled off Harry's shoes and then unbuttoned his jeans. He moved up to take down his hair, carefully. Then Louis raked his fingers through it as he sat next to him on the couch.

"Hey.. come on. It's bedtime." Louis whispered and pressed a kiss against Harry's forehead. Harry's eyebrows knitted together and he stretched out, uncomfortably. "You get the verdict you wanted?"

"Mhm." Harry was still half asleep, "I won."

"M'proud of you, my baby." Louis rubbed his cheek gently and kissed his head again. "Come to bed, it's probably more comfortable than the couch." Harry whined softly and just adjusted his hips on the couch to get more comfortable.

"M'tired Lou." He mumbled.

Louis rolled his eyes and chuckled, standing up. He leaned down in front of Harry and slid his right arm under Harry's legs. "Lift your head." Louis whispered softly.

Harry complied, letting out a tired sigh, "I'm too heavy for this, Louis. I'm not sixteen anymore."

"Oh hush. I've got you." Louis mumbled and slid his arm under Harry's shoulders, carefully carrying him to their bedroom. He let Harry lie down and he stripped him of his jeans and socks and decided getting the sleepy boy out of his t-shirt was something he didn't wanna deal with.

So Louis changed into his shorts and climbed in behind him, promising he'd celebrate Harry's first win with nice wine and a movie.

Harry was awake and on the phone when Louis woke up. He had a small frown set on his lips as he listened. Louis rubbed his eyes as he stretched. He rolled over and settled himself against Harry, an arm slung around Harry's middle. "Yeah, thank you for letting me know." Harry huffed as he hung up.

"What's wrong?" Louis rubbed small circles on his hips.

"I have to cut my hair. Look professional."

Louis laughed softly as Harry whined and pushed him away. "You're upset about cutting your hair?"

"You like my long hair."

"Mhm. But I'm not gonna stop loving you for having short hair. Just like you didn't when I cut mine."

"That's different. Yours wasn't as long as mine. It wasn't as drastic of a change.."

"If you're feeling a little insecure, that's normal, you know." Louis reminded him and kissed his chest. He looked up at him and rested his chin on Harry's shoulder. "I know you think of your hair as your little safety net."

Harry blushed some and nodded a little, "I can't not cut it. They won't give me a job if I look sloppy."

"Babe. They can't not give you a job because you didn't get a haircut. You cut your hair when you want to cut your hair. Okay? Not because some guy told you you weren't gonna get job offers."

"I haven't gotten one yet."

"And what happens when you cut your hair and you still don't? You haven't gotten your name out there yet, honey. But we'll get it. You'll be the best damn lawyer in London."

"I could donate it... maybe that'll make me feel better."

"Maybe." Louis mumbled and pressed an open mouth kiss along Harry's neck. "I'm taking the day off to spend with you. Whatever you wanna do." Louis whispered, moving his kisses up to under Harry's ear.

"Whatever I wanna do?" Harry smiled softly and tilted his head, letting the soft assault on his neck continue.

"Mhm. Whatever you wanna do." Louis pulled back and pressed a little kiss against Harry's cheek, "as soon as you shave that thing you like to call a moustache."

"Heyyy. Quit picking on me." Harry said with no real force behind it as he smiled at his husband. Louis only nudged Harry's nose with his own.

"Yeah?" Louis chuckled softly.

"Yeah." Harry had a soft smile on his lips and he closed his eyes as Louis shifted over him. "Can we just stay home today? Just hang out. We never hang out."

"That's because we don't hang out." Louis laughed, "we stopped hanging out when things between us were official."

"You know what I meant, Louis."

"Mhm." Louis chuckled softly. "Let's go watch that one comedian you like, yeah? Just relax for a little while. Then maybe we can take a bath."

"Together?"

"Together."

"Sweet." Harry smiled.

-

"Do you know how ridiculously cheesy you look and sound?" Harry was grinning ear to ear as Louis pushed their couch up against the dining room table. He moved the coffee table to the other wall and chuckled, holding his hands out to his love.

"Well after an amazing dinner and a bit of that cheap wine, I thought I could dance with my husband. If he doesn't quit his laughing and get over here, he isn't getting his booty rub tonight."

Harry laughed and rolled his eyes as he stood, pushing his way through the rearranged furniture and he grabbed Louis' hands pulling him close. "Do you wanna lead or do you want me to?" Harry asked.

"I can lead." Louis mumbled softly and pulled Harry closer by the hips, just swaying back and forth to the soft voice of Ed Sheeran.

Harry rested his hands on Louis' shoulders, pressing a small kiss against Louis' temple as they danced. "Thank you for dinner.. and spending all this time with me today. I really appreciate it. Every second." Harry whispered and made sure he didn't step on louis' toes.

"You deserves every little bit and more." Louis moved his hands to lock together behind Harry's back, just humming along to the song as they swayed. "I love you more and more a little bit every day."

"I love you more every day." Harry blinked a few tears from his eyes. He couldn't believe he was crying. He had so many emotions flooding over him. He married his one love and he'd never get tired of this. "You're an awful dancer." Harry whispered with a smile.

"Shut up." Louis chuckled and rubbed Harry's lower back, "you're pretty shit too."

"The neighbours can see us through the window." Harry commented.

"Let them. I'm enjoying your company right now."

I love the dancing scene, even tho it isn't written very well. I think about it in my head and I'm just like (: awe (:

I've never went through with writing a series of stories, which I've planned to do before. (Peter Pan has a sequel, called Take Me To Neverland, sitting in my notes). I never make it past the first two-three chapters when writing a second story in a series.

I hope you all love this story as much as I do.
