Bobbie POV
It's been two days since Dray disappeared. Mom is worried sick and so am I. Shayaa and the gang go out looking for him whenever they can, but haven't gotten any clues yet.
"Bobbie, you can't mope around forever. He's going to come back smiling and goofing off soon" Sav said, tracing circles on my stomach. I was slumped over him and his arm was around my waist, his hand resting on my stomach.
"You got anything you want to do today?"
"Can you skip school? I mean it's just a Friday and we can go to the fair up North"
"K" I responded, completely out of it. Anything to get my mind off of Draymond. After getting dressed, we drove 30 minutes North of downtown to a local fair.
"Ooh a Ferris wheel!" I pointed. "Ole childish ass" he chuckled. "Come on" I smiled, getting out of the car. "Baby momma, I was gonna open the door for your fat headed ass"
"You gotta be fast, B. I'm not a time waster"
"Whatever, let's go"I carried my big banana Sav had won me all over the grounds, leaving it with the attendant when we wanted to get on a ride. "When we get home, I'm gonna spray it in your cologne so I can hug it at night when you're not there"
"You really a softy" he shook his head as we got closer to the ice cream stand.
"Bobbie" Sha whispered nudging my arm. "I know they have bubblegum, my favorite" I smiled, looking at all the flavors. "Bobbie, it's Dray. He over by the popcorn place"
My head shot up and saw him. He was talking to a girl. She seemed pretty- a little chubby. Why was he here though? Why be at a fair when you're running away?
Without a second thought, I marched over to him. "Draymond Alaiya Harvey!" I yelled.
"Stop yelling my government name so loud" he rolled his eyes. "What's wrongs with you? You can't run away from your problems"
"Bobbie, I'm not running away. I'm facing my challenges head on" he shifted his eyes to the girl on his right. Why was she a challenge?
She was pretty. Curly brown hair, big brown eyes, looks like a scar above her left eyebrow.
She was thick, a bit more tummy than boobs—
"Dray... she's pregnant?"
I turned to Shayaa and he mirrored the same confusion. "Yeah, Bobbie, Savage. This is Jazmyne. She's my girlfriend"My whole understanding of everything was gone. "We need to talk" I mumbled, grabbing his wrist and dragging him to a bench by the Ferris wheel.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?"
"I was scared. Scared I end up like all the other people in our neighborhood. Broke with a million kids. That's why I took earning money with the gang so serious. So I could provide for Jaz and the baby"
"Why'd you leave? You know good and well that Mom would be mad but let her stay with us. It's irresponsible to run away"
"She lives downtown and she's just as scared as I am. She needed me with her and I didn't know how to explain that my pregnant girlfriend was lonely and scared"
It was too much to process. My sweet little brother was going to be a dad and he's in a gang and he transports drugs and he kills people.
"Anyway, why are you here with Savage in that? You need to buy more jeans"
"Dray, first of all I can pick who I spend my time with. Second of all, you expect me to run around outside in the heat wearing jeans. While your girl is here in booty shorts as well"
"That girl isn't my sister"
"Ok" I said and got up to go join Sav who was talking to Jazmyne. "Shayaa, I'm ready to go home"
"Alright baby girl, let's go"The whole car ride I stared out the window. Thinking about why this affected me so hard. It's his baby not mine. I'm excited to be an auntie. I really am. But, I just need some time to come around.
"Dray just a kid. He's going to figure it out"
"You have a kid right?" I asked.
"Yeah, he's 2" he smiled. The smile showed pride and joy. "You love him?"
"Of course. Everything I do is for him"
"So, you think Dray will be a good dad like you? He just needs time?"
Sav grabbed my hand and brought it up to his lips. "You need to smoke" he whispered before laying a gentle kiss on my hand.
I nodded, digging into the backpack in the backseat and grabbed a baggie of weed and rolling paper.
