It’s a boring day, but I get to spend it with cool people.

Carmen Jamieson: Aw, don’t be sad, honey.
Harvey Collins: Off to convert more people into fags?
Danny Mitchell: Do you want to lose your place on the team like Reggie?
Harvey Collins: Screw you.
CHAPTER 12:
“What are we going to do?” Gabriel asked.
“Maybe we could go to the beach?” I asked. I was currently lying on my bed and staring at the ceiling, while Gabriel was sitting on the swivel chair in my room. He would spin from time to time.
“It’s too chilly to go there today. We could get sick. What are Mike and Dean doing?”
“They are currently in the living room and playing video games, as usual.”
“Mind if I join you?” Gabriel said. “I’m getting dizzy from the spinning.”
“Sure,” I said. I was lying with my feet lounging on the windowsill that was next to the bed. He plopped on the bed. I looked to my right and saw him staring at the ceiling. Our heads were next to each other. His feet were still on the carpet.
“What do we do now?”
“I honestly don’t know, Gabe,” I sighed.
“We could watch the guys play their video games.”
“It’s not like we have anything better to do,” I said, kicking off of the windowsill. It sent me into a backward roll and I landed on my feet on the carpet.
“I didn’t know you could do that,” Gabriel said.
“It’s nothing,” I said, taking hold of his hand. “Let’s go.”
We walked to the living room and saw Dean and Mike shoving each other like little kids.
“Who’s winning?” Gabriel asked.
“Don’t ask,” Mike said bitterly. “Baker here keeps on cheating.”
“I do not cheat,” Dean gasped. “You just suck at this.” He proceeded by sticking his tongue out.
“I am not sucking on your tongue,” Mike said without missing a beat. Gabriel and I looked at each other for a second, trying to hold back our laughter. Dean fumbled with his controller. Mike was giggling as he proceeded to beat Dean. In seconds, his hands were in the air, while Dean just stared at the screen.
“You okay there, Dean?” I asked.
“I’m just fine, Leb,” he said.
“If you say so,” I said. “I’m heading to the kitchen. Do you guys want anything?”
“I’m good,” Mike said. “I feel refreshed all of a sudden.”
“I’ll have a soda and some ice to stop Mike’s swelling ego,” Dean said.
I laughed and nodded. “What about you Gabe?”
“I’m okay, but I’ll join you.”
“Keep it clean, guys,” Mike said as I got up. I grabbed a pillow from the couch and hit him on the back of his head. Mike shouted as his character blew up into dust. I was not really aware of which game they were playing.
