Miles' POV
I ran. I ran all the way to the border of the camp and found the tallest tree I could. I flew up into it and sat there. Just sat there thinking.
I dont know what happened out there. Or why I suddenly felt so mad towards Ryan when I had just met him. I just kept seeing that look on Aleria's face. So scared and.. It looked so protective over that boy.
She looked disappointed in me. I don't know why I wanted her approval when I had just met her but I did. I wanted her approval.
"Miles" I heard her voice before she came into view. "What were you thinking?!" I could tell she was angry and the moment she saw me on the top branch of the tree her eyes flared up. "Ryan's okay incase you wanted to know but how the hell did you get in that tree?" She called angrily.
"It's easy when you fly" I responded looking down at her. I jumped out of the tree and heard her shriek of fear until she noticed I was hovering in the air. Just hovering above her. "Come here I'll show you" I said. She stepped closer to me and I stopped floating. I stood in front of her and took her by the hand "Don't let go" I advised and we flew to the highest branch on the tallest tree.
