Miles POV
As soon as I left Aleria I had this growing feeling of loneliness. I didn't have my dad here and I didn't have any friends besides Aleria and Reyna and I mean Reyna isn't really a friend just putting up with me I guess.
I walked around for a little trying to stall but after awhile Aleria would catch up to me and expect me to have apologized to Ryan so finally with great reluctance I found the boy and pulled him to the side.
"Here to finish me off?" He asked through clenched teach. I just shook my head "Actually I wanted to say I'm sorry for almost killing you. I don't know what happened out there" I said through gritted teeth. Why was this so hard for me? Every time I had to apologize it was easy for me because I had known I had done something wrong but now it didn't feel like I had done anything wrong.
"I want you to stay away from Aleria" Ryan said with a smug look on his face. "What?" I asked quite shocked. I didn't like Aleria like that why would he be warning me?
"You heard me stay away from her. She doesn't need to be getting hurt by some stupid Greek who showed out of no where. She's on the right path to praetor and is definitely the best fighter in all of camp so stay away" he threatened.
"I don't even like her like that!" I exclaimed.
"Your eyes say differently. She's a beautiful girl Miles but she deserves to end up with someone like her. A proud roman not some reckless Greek so stay away" he warned one last time before walking back to his friends with his boyish grin back on his lips.
Oh gods what was happening?
