Miles POV

So I told Aleria all that happened between Ryan and I. Except for the part were he threatened me. I wouldn't tell her that it would be weird and no doubt she wouldn't believe me. She had known me for a day and Ryan an entire life time of course he wouldn't.

"Thanks for saying sorry" she smiled at me happily as she sat on the other in of the couch. The way we were sitting was with her feet in my lap as she laid on the other end of the couch, across from me, and I sitting in the corner of the couch tolerating her feet in my lap.

"Eh" I said merely with a smile of my own. We sat there just talking for a little bit about nothing really until she got up and didn't return for a few minutes. Next thing I knew though she was back with potato chips in her hand an a grin on her face. "We're going to have fun" she sad reassuring my curiosity.

Aleria pulled on my hands for me to get up and sat down her bag of chips. "Come on" she laughed turning on some music. To be honest I liked her taste in music. Some fast paced song came on and I automatically liked the first set of lyrics.

"If you had a day would you give me a moment?"

It sort of reminded me of our parents and of Ryan and her. Would she give me a moment or would she want to spend it with him?

She started laughing as she moved my arms and I caught the beat. Next thing I knew we were dancing around the house laughing together. It was so much fun.

Until

"Jason?" I heard my dad's familiar voice call for me. Aleria had been dancing with me in the kitchen now as we made hot chocolate together. She raised her eyebrows and I mouthed. 'my dad' she nodded and turned off her music.

"Dad what are you doing her?" I asked walking out with Aleria trailing behind me as if what had been happening before my dad came didn't even happen.

"Whoa mom! You brought Jason here!" She exclaimed smiling.

"She didn't bring me here. I'm here to take my son home" he said looking at me. I was then speechless for the first time in well a long time
