Chapter 31 - Everything that comes easy don't last

''You know he had the nerve to bring his cheating ass on my porch and cry on his knees for me to take him back , like can you believe him and when I want to speak my mind and tell him how I feel he wanted to cry more. Like be serious! he wasn't worried about my feelings when he was doing him so why should I care about how he feels now? am I wrong to not take him back? was I smart enough to end what we had before he thought he could walk all over me when he wanted to? Re'Zay are you even listening to me? I'm trying to vent to you about my problems and It doesn't even seem like your listening to me.'' I said while pacing back and fourth in my room while Re'zay sat on my bed probably not even hearing a word I just said. '' Ziare shut up, I'm listening to you okay. Can I get some time to think on what I'm going to say next? like for real your talking so I'm listening. Unless you want me to interrupt you just to say my input on your story. Be patient with your mad ass.'' She said to me as she continued to paint her nails.

'' What did I tell you about painting your nails on my bed? you could've atleast put a towel under your feet before you started doing all of that mess.'' I ranted on as I picked up a towel from the basket near my door. '' Here.'' I said passing it to her. 

''This whole time you've been talking I've been asking you to get me a towel but you were to busy being angry you weren't hearing me. So I went ahead and decided to say fuck the towel you'll give me one when your ready. Now do you want me to tell you how I think about this whole predicament your in or should I let you continue on your rant about me doing my nails on your bed Ziare?'' She asked looking up from what she was doing with that playful grin she always gives me when I'm irritated.

''Re'Zay I don't see anything funny to be grinning about , you know you are so childish.'' I was interrupted. '' Ziare damn get back on topic will you? you  know you're always complaining about little shit , worry about the bigger stuff in life for real.'' She said as she stood up and turned on the A.C.

''I'm sorry I just don't know what to do anymore, but you can tell me how you feel about my situation now.'' I said giving her the okay to continue as I sat down ready to hear her speech. ''Ziare I think you should atleast give Trevis a chance we all believe in second chances right? he's a typical nigga! all men/boys make mistakes in life you just have to learn how to live with it. You don't seriously think that your dad is one perfect man who has never made a mistake in his life? you don't possibly think that your brother is perfect either do you? be serious this is the real world. I understand that your hurt because out of all people he did it with his probably baby mother but give him a break. I told you that you have to stop assuming and listening to these females who want your role because sooner or later the stuff you accused him of doing he's going to do it. I have never seen somebody so In love with a female like Trevis is with you, Yeah he messed up but everybody does , you just have to learn how to live with it. You can't say your down to ride for a nigga if you give up on him the first or second mistake that he's done. There going to be more mistakes later in life that he will do but your going to have to learn to believe in him that he will fix them like he's doing now. Now I'm not on anybodies side but give him the benefit of the doubt. I know you love him more than life itself but damn stop being so cruel to him , he's just now learning how to really be in a relationship. You know that boy has been through so much shit just like you have. He can't always be your fairytale he can only give you so much just appreciate him now because things don't always last forever, and everything that glitters ain't gold. Trust the words that are coming out of my mouth Brittney came easy and you know what comes easy---''

'' Don't last.'' I finished. '' You damn right. Now I ain't no Doctor.Phil but I will only tell you the truth, I'm not saying to forgive him so quick but work with him , A nigga ain't shit with out his female by his side. Right now Trevis needs you okay? work with him and stop assuming shit unless you have solid evidence. Don't listen to these hoes , don't let them get to you. Show them that your not going anywhere no time soon.'' Re'Zay finished.

''You need to be some kind of social worker or something because I swear you are good at what you do... and that's telling the truth and telling it how you see it. I don't know what I would do with out you Re for real.'' I laughed as I jumped on her and squeezed her to death. '' Bitch my hair , I just got my hair done! My nails you gone mess them up. Get off of me.'' She screamed. ''Shut up , who you trying to impress?'' I asked finally getting off of her. '' My damn self. I don't need to try hard either cause I'm bad as hell with and without make up on. Can I get a AMEN!'' She said as she got up and began to scream hallelujah. '' AMEN!'' I said clapping my hands. ''Now you need to lower your damn voice, we not in church.''

''Bitch bye , but you trying to go to the mall now? They just released the new jordans and I'm trying to get them before they sold out and they finally got some KD's ! Come on I'm not taking no for an answer.'' She said as she pulled on her gladiator sandals and grabbed her things as she pulled me along with her.

'' Whats good Ma? you done fucking with that broke ass nigga yet? you need to fuck with a nigga like me. I'll have you in Diamonds and red bottoms with your sexy ass.'' Kendall once again was trying to get with me , we've been in this mall for ten minutes now and he been trying to get with me for nine. '' First , My name is not 'Ma' Its Ziare. Second , He's never broke always got his bread up and Lastly , I don't want your ass and I don't need to be in diamonds and red bottoms to look good boo.'' I said before walking in the direction Re'Zay left in.

''Your head was good though bitch.'' He yelled my way , causing me to stop in my foot-steps. '' Disrespect my girl again and this wont be the last time you see me.'' Trevis yelled before punching him in his face and walking in my direction.

''Look I know you said not to come around you anymore but---'' I interrupted him. ''I forgive you.''

'' I swear I love you and I just don't want to let you go. I know I mess up alot of times but I swear Its not done purposely--'' I interrupted him again. '' I forgive you Trevis.'' I said once more. '' but I can't go a day without thinking about you , your my life and I need you Ziare. I understand you don't want to be with me anymore but I just wanted you to know--'' I interrupted him again and kissed him to shut him up. '' I said I forgive you Trevis, I know that your sorry just don't mention this again and if you fuck around with Brittney again you gone be on the news okay?'' I said as I stared at him. ''and don't think your off the hook , this doesn't mean you can step all over me. Don't entertain these hoes , we laugh at them. I don't want these hoes laughing at me saying if she only knew! I'm serious , I'm down for what ever. But I do know a couple niggas that's down for a homicide.'' I laughed but was being so serious. '' I love you Ziare.'' He said as he picked me up and spinned me around. ''I love you too, but we're in the middle of the mall. This ain't no fairytale , now put me down.''

'' There you are! I was looking for your jug head ass, I got the jordans for both of us and the KD's. Now don't think this shit is free okay? you paying me back. Oh , and tell me why Brittney and these other two girls tried to fight me. I wasn't going though I pulled out my pocket knife and my mace. They left though talking about watch your back I was like bitch please. Anyways we have to bounce though , the mall cops looking for my ass. Oh , y'all made up huh? Trevis thank me , If it wasn't for me you'd still be crying somewhere in the corner.'' I stood there shocked , Re'Zay always getting into something.

'' I knew it had to be you cause Ziare to damn stubborn. Thanks sis and don't worry them hoes ain't on shit unless they all together.'' Trevis said. '' Why ya'll still standing here? didn't I just say the mall cops looking for my ass? Ya'll tryna have me go back to jail ain't ya'll ? come on , I'm to pretty to be back in jail. One year was too long for me , I had to fight them manly bitches off me , they wasn't about to get none of this chocolate dellight. '' Re'Zay ranted on while pulling us out the mall doors.
