Chapter Twenty-four

Lucy's P.O.V.
I open my eyes. I quickly sit up and rub my head. It feels like I fell. But whatever I fell onto, it's really soft. "Get off of me, I'm dying!" Natsu chokes out from under me. I shriek and jump off him. He stands up and frowns, "jeez, Lucy you should go on a major diet."

Everyone begins laughing. "SHUT UP, IDIOT, OR I'LL SIT BACK ON TOP OF YOU AGAIN!" I take a deep breath and look around. It looks like we're in a dessert. All I can see around me is sand, one little cactus, and the hot sun burning overhead. "Where are we?"

"I'm guessing we're in Edolas." Laxus says, taking off his thick jacket. Mirajane blushes and looks away from him quickly. I glance at Laxus. His shirt is so tight you can see his abs. I look at Mira and wiggle my eyebrows. She looks up at me and frowns.

"Yeah, we know that. But where do we go? All we can see is sand." Said Gray, already naked, "but for some reason, it's barley bothering me." Juvia blushes and squeals. Jellal sighs and points at Gray's you-know-what and looks away. I look away and so does Wendy. "DAMN IT! When did that happen!?"

"If only Titania told us where to go." Gajeel rolls his eyes, "she said she knows everything, bitch please. We don't even know where we are right now." I take out the note she gave me and open it. There are ten pills taped to it and some writing.

"Guys, look. She gave this to me before we went into the portal." I said. Everyone leans over and looks at the paper, "eat these pills. In this world, you cannot use your magic because there isn't enough of it. Once you eat them, you can use you magic." I read.

Everyone takes a pill and swallows it down. I look at mine. "Guys, are you are she's not trying to kill us right now?" Juvia asks.

"I hope not." I swallow it down and read the rest of the letter, "you will most likely be in the dessert. If you are, there should be a cactus near you." I look up at the cactus. Happy flies to it. I look down at the paper, "go the direction the cactus is facing."

"So left?" Happy points to the left. I nod. We begin walking left of the cactus. As we walk, Happy grabs the paper and continues reading, "you should reach a guild that looks like a VERY big plant. Once you're there, they'll tell you how to get to the kingdom. Above the kingdom is the land of the exceeds. When you find the person who stole the jewel and get the staff, use it to come home."

"Easier said then done." Mirajane sighs. I nod in agreement. This is gonna be a long, long, long trip. "I hope we can find this person fast, I don't want to stay here for long. It's very hot and I bet it's gonna get worse when we reach the land of the exceeds."

"LOOK!" Natsu exclaims happily. He points at the sky. I look up at a big island that is floating above us. My mouth drops open. "It's floating! Aw, man I wanna do that! So cool!" He snaps his fingers. Oh, Natsu. Stupid, annoying, but smart at the same time.

It has been two WHOLE hours of walking. I'm leaning on Juvia, sweating very hard. Wendy licks her dry lips and swallows. "I'm so thirsty," she whimpers. After a while, we begin seeing trees, tall, colorful mushrooms, and different types of animals. The air suddenly becomes cool and nice. "That's weird."

"Look there," Jellal points forward at the guild hall that looks like a plant. Titania was right. I just hope these pills don't kill us. "Wait..." He runs to the guild. Laxus motions Gajeel and Wendy to follow him. They run after him. I see Jellal stop in the distance. The rest of us run after them.

"No way..." Wendy mumbles, "why is this h-here?" The big tree had a weird symbol on it. Now thinking about it, it's the same symbol that Wendy, Laxus, Jellal, Sting, Rogue, and Gajeel wear. "Why is Fairy Tail here!?"
