Chapter Sixteen

Jellal's P.O.V.
I open my eyes and look around. Was that just a vision? Am I going crazy? No. This is very much real. I have to see her, I have to see Meredy. Meredy was my first girlfriend, she didn't date me just because I'm a prince. She actually cared about me.

Right now is not the time to just sit here, I need to find Natsu, Lucy, and Gray. I sprint out of the forest and look around. Everything is as crazy as it was. A big, dark dragon swoops down and picks my grandfather up. Makarov punches the beast down and kicks him.

"That's Acnologia? He's Erza's father? That's crazy..." I stare at him in awe. He's very strong. He roars a great big roar causing the ground to shake. I look at a big, black beam of light that shoots out from the forest I was just in. "That must be Zeref and Mavis."

"SNAP OUT OF IT, JELLAL! You need to find your friends so you can see Meredy!" Ultear screams into my head. I look around, startled, "I apologize for scaring you, but you need to go find Natsu and the others! NOW!" She demanded. I nod and sprint into the battlefield.

"LUCY!" I call, "NATSU! GRAY!" I spot Gray and Sting pretending to fight. I rush to him and grab his wrist. He stares at me, Sting follows me. "Listen," I stop dragging him and look at Sting, "Sting, I need you to stay here." He nods and rushes back to battle.

"Jellal, what's going on?" Gray asks, a concerned tone in his voice. "Don't tell me something else crazy happened! If something happened, what? Some person spoke into your mind and told you something?" He guessed. I stare at him in shock.

"H-how did you know?" I ask.

"Wild guess." He shrugs, "now what do you want?"

"First, we need to find the others-" Before I could finish, a bull with a axe swings it at me. I hear Lucy shriek and run to me, Natsu right behind her. Natsu laughs uncontrollably as she helps me up.

"Jellal, I'm so, so sorry!" She says, Natsu and Gray rolling on the ground and laughing. I rub my head. Lucy turns to look at the bull, "Taurus, how many times do I have to tell you!? Jellal, Sting, Rogue, Gajeel, Laxus, and Wendy are our friends!"

"I know, Luucy, but they're still the enemy." He places his hand on his hip. Lucy sighs and closes his gate. "Call me soon, Lucy!" He says before disappearing. Natsu and Gray straighten up.

"Finally," I sigh, "we need to talk!"

"So what is it?" Natsu asks.

I sigh and begin, "Ultear, she wished from the real Titania for me to fall in love with her and for Erza to fall very ill." Lucy stares at me in shock, Natsu and Gray frown. "She talked to me. She said to break the spell, I must see My first love."

"Your first love?" Lucy, Natsu, and Gray ask in unison.

"That's right. She lives in Fiore, her name...Meredy Milkovich." I say boldly. They stare at me in utter shock, their eyes are about to pop out of their head.

Meredy's P.O.V.
I sit down on the table in the dining hall. "How come Ultear never thinks of me?" I whisper, a lump forming in my throat. "I am her foster child, after all." I look out the window, "she should've been back right now, I hope she's okay."

"MEREDY!" I hear Natsu call my name from downstairs. Jeez, he's got a set of pipes on him. I walk downstairs and stare at Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and a man wearing a long cloak. "There you are!" Natsu exclaims as the man takes off his cloak and his blue contacts.

"Jellal.." I whisper as he smiles at me. His eyes are very, very, bright. Suddenly, a tiny crack appears in his eyes. The crack grows big and glass falls out of his eyes revealing his regular dark eyes. "What are eyes guys doing here? You know what Irene would do if she found you here?"

"Something bad, that's for sure. But listen," Lucy walks to me and places her hand on my shoulder, "you just saved Jellal, you should be proud of yourself, Meredy." Saved Jellal? All I did was say his name and look at him. He nods in agreement.

"W-what?" I question, looking around at everyone.

"He was under a spell, he had to look at the first person he ever loved." Natsu states. First person he ever loved? I begin blushing very, very hard. The naked Gray laughs as Jellal throws his hand around my head and hugs me. Great, now I have butterflies.

"Wait..." Jellal pulls away and looks at Lucy, "but how will we rescue Erza? And Ultear?"

"Well, shit." Gray says.

Third Person P.O.V.
They all walk into the infirmary where the ill Erza lay, motionless, on the bed. She would twitch now and then. "This looks really sick." Jellal points out, looking down at Erza's face. She has a wet cloth on her forehead and her head is blazing hot.

"Way to point out the obvious, champ." Natsu rolls his eyes. He sits at the end of the bed and stares at Erza, "w-wait... Is she whispering something?" Her lips move up and down. Lucy walks to her and looks at her as she whispers something.

"Og ot eht tserof erehw ew ekow sivaM, ll'uoy dnif ainatiT ereht. Evas raetlU rof em, esaelp." She says quickly. Everyone stares at her in confusion, thinking that she's talking in gibberish. But I assure you, reader, she is not. Read it again. Figure it out.

"I'm sorry, what?" Asks Meredy, "what is she saying?" Meredy looks at Erza in worry. She raises an eyebrow when she sees the bright colored eyes, "This is Titania's magic, huh?"

"Yup." Lucy nods. She looks outside, "if only Levy was here, she would know what to do-" suddenly, the door swings open and someone walks in. Jellal freezes in fear and the others gasp.

"Who was that!?" Gray exclaims.

"Keep it down, will ya?" Natsu moves the curtain out of the way and looks at who it is. Lucy walks to him, a terrified look on her face. "oh no," Said Natsu.

"What's going on? Why's he here?" The water Mage points at Jellal in disgust. She looks up at Lucy and Natsu, "don't tell me you're friends... What have you been hiding from me?"
