P.J.M

WE ARE shipped off to Goyang the very next day, after I struck up a deal with Min Yoongi. I told him not to tell anyone about it. And I don't think he will. But Namjoon and Fae are pretty much in awe that I was able to convince him to willingly commit to this operation. I try not to allow the attention to get to my head, since I know my tactics and they don't. But still. It's nice. Nice to think that they are at least slightly impressed with me.

The plan is simple, or what they've explained to me is simple. I'm used to the secrecy and ambiguity surrounding the mission. All I know is that Yoongi and I are to act as students at Hanyang Academy, get close to the principal's son and then simply get the files needed from his father's computer. I'm not really sure what exactly a school principal would be hiding, but I'm still excited. This will be my first undercover operation, hopefully the first of many. It all depends on how Min Yoongi does.

I glance over at said boy. He's seated across from me in the black van we're in. We're in Goyang at this point, but still on our way to the base of operations. Yoongi stares out at the passing city, looking as serious and stoic as usual. But there's another look in his eyes. Almost a worried look.

A wave of guilt passes over me, and I look away. To be perfectly honest, I don't know the exact whereabouts of Min Yoongi's own target. And I feel terrible for lying about it to him. I told him that I knew. I bite down on my lip hard, feeling sick.

It's fine, Jimin. You can just tell him when this is all done. And then you'll really help him find her. Maybe you don't actually know where she is now. But you won't stop till you do find her.

I nod assuredly, deciding this would be best. For now, I'll keep this to myself. Yeah.

"We're staying here?" I ask as we pull up into the deteriorating parking lot of an old warehouse.

Fae throws me an annoyed glance.

"You really have no room to complain. Be grateful we even got a car for this mission," she tells me bitterly, before jumping out of the stopped car.

Seokjin sends me an apologetic smile.

"I know it doesn't look like much, but it's the most low key place around. No one will come fishing around as long as we play our cards right," he tells me.

"Yeah, which means no bringing any pretty girls home after school, got it?" Namjoon teases, before hopping out as well.

I roll my eyes and reach for the car door handle. Like that will ever happen. Still the thought is almost exciting. I barely had a regular high school experience, and now, I feel like I almost have a second chance.

"Park Jimin," a low voice interrupts my thoughts.

I pause and look up, suddenly aware that only Yoongi and I are left in the car. He watches me carefully.

"Uh, Yeah?" I ask hesitantly.

That nagging guilt is starting to fill me again. Yoongi's dark eyes peer deep into me, as if he can see all of my secrets.

"I don't trust you, you know," he suddenly says.

I tilt my head, watching him back quizzically.

"I'm not asking you too," I reply, my eyes slightly narrowing.

Why is he telling me this?

"No, I think you are. You want me to trust that you know what you're doing. But you probably have barely any idea," he says slowly, as if beginning to really comprehend it himself.

"Maybe I do have barely any idea. But I know what I'm doing is right," I say defensively.

His words sound accusatory. Like he's coming at me for whatever reason.

"And maybe I do want you to just trust me. Would it really be that hard?" I ask, gripping the handle so tightly that my knuckles are turning white.

"Yes," Yoongi replies simply. "You did shoot me."

My jaw drops slightly, and I watch in astonishment as Yoongi scoots by me and opens the car door. He leaves me speechless, sitting there in surprise. Was that sarcasm? It was sarcasm, right?
