M.Y.G"BOYFRIEND?! Hyung, are you crazy?!"
"I'm sorry! I was put on the spot! I needed to come up with something that would give us time to run!"
"Why do you think he's not a field agent, Jimin?" Agent Chang stifles a giggle, keeping her eyes glued on her computer screen.
"You know it might not have been the worst thing to say," Seokjin comments, taking a pensive sip of his coffee.
"Thank you!" Namjoon exclaims in relief.
"Namjoon may not be skilled in offensive combat, but he looks like he is. Maybe that boy will be scared off?"
"Wha— now wait just a minute!"
In Namjoon's excitement, he tightens the bandage on my arm a bit too suddenly, and I let out a short breath of surprise.
"Oh, sorry!" He says, eyes wide.
"Be careful, Hyung!" Jimin snaps, and he storms over to see the progress on my arm.
At least the bleeding has stopped.
Namjoon and I left Gitae shellshocked in that back parking lot, and stumbled away as fast as we could. Namjoon really isn't as strong as he looks, and it took a bit for us to get to his van with me leaning on him for support. He was doing surveillance when he spotted me being harrassed outside.
But Jimin, he came back to the base a few hours after us, and he's still silent about the boy we saw at the school. I wonder why, but I'm silent too. Instead I watch him carefully. I can tell he's avoiding my gaze.
"Now Yoongi, you really can't go around rough housing like that in the state you're in," Namjoon's telling me as I drift back to reality. "Even the slightest upset can trigger more bleeding, especially after today."
I nod and slide off the chair he had me sit on, going to find shirt.
"Those kids at school are ruthless. I've never seen such nasty teenagers, guys!" Jimin begins rambling about the whole "boyfriend" dilemma again. "If they find out Yoongi has a boyfriend, the bullying will get a lot worse!"
"He doesn't actually have a boyfriend," Namjoon reminds him. "I only did it because we needed some sort of excuse for why I was there in the first place."
"Yeah, but they don't know that!" Jimin exclaims. "Now Gitae is going to murder him!"
"He won't tell anyone," I speak up then.
Namjoon and Jimin glance at me, both slightly surprised. Agent Chang and Seokjin are back to whatever they were working on before. I let out a sigh and lay my head back on the old couch I'm now seated at.
"How can you be so sure? He's a disgusting jerk, remember?" Jimin starts at it again, speaking like I'm an idiot.
I let out another sigh and lift my head to look at him.
"He won't tell anyone. And he probably won't even talk to me anymore."
"But, Yoongi, how do you know that?" Namjoon asks.
My head falls back again.
"I just know."

Jimin finds me on the roof later that evening. For some reason I don't feel any kind of annoyance. I just stay staring at the dark corners of the city before us as he plops down beside me.
For a minute or two we just sit and breath and watch. I imagine him watching the brightly lit corners of the city.
"I know you're probably sort of confused," he murmurs after a few moments.
That's when I glance over at him. I know what he's talking about, but I'm slightly surprised that he's bringing it up.
"But, listen, you can't tell anyone about that guy we saw earlier, okay?" Park Jimin says, his look desperate.
"Why is that?"
He swallows, looking nervous. He needs to learn how to hide his emotions better.
"Just— I cant say right now, but you'll understand eventually. I just don't want the team finding out. If they make a fuss then things will get out of hand and—"
"Park Jimin," I murmur.
He stops. I don't know why, for he doesn't seem like the type, but he always knows to stop when I interrupt him.
"That was the person who tried to kill me."
Silence ensues. A car honks in the distance. A few distant shouts fill the air, but they're far off, almost as if I imagine them. But without Jimin talking, it feels like the whole world is silent all the same. And instead of replying, Jimin just watches me, then finally, turns to look out at the city lights again.
And we stay like that for a while longer. Silent.
After what seems like an eternity, Jimin lets out a long sigh.
"No. It wasn't."
I pause and look up in surprise.
"Yes, it was. I could place those eyes anywhere, Park Jimin," I insist, almost mad at his denial.
"No. He's just an agent like me. From the same organization as Neuk Dae? Yeah. But that's not him. Grey eyes are their mark." Jimin lets out a long sigh as he explains, rubbing his eyes in exhaustion. "Gosh, I shouldn't be telling you all this."
I'm silent as I consider his words. I feel sick at my cowardly reaction this morning. It was for nothing.
"I'm sorry you remember his eyes so vividly," Jimin suddenly murmurs. "And I...I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner."
Again I say nothing, only locking eyes with Jimin. I feel like I'm seeing a new, rather mature, side of him. We share an exchange without saying anything in this gaze.
"Yoongi, can we get out of here?" He asks me.
"What do you mean?" I reply, looking down at my shaking hands.
"Let's just leave real quick."
"Leave?"
"Let's just go."
