"YAH, KANG Yeejin!"

I let out a short sigh and slow my pace after remembering that this is my cover name.

"Yah! Wait up!" The cheerful voice continues.

Kim Taehyung stumbles to a stop at my side, letting out heavy breaths. He sets a large hand on my slight shoulder, and I immediately freeze at his touch. The taller boy sends a breathless grin to me.

"Didn't you hear me?" He asks, pulling his hand away.

I relax slightly and shrug.

"Sorry, just a bit tired," I mumble in response.

I know silence won't help in this "mission." Talking to people; getting close to people; in other words, manipulating people. That's what I need to do to succeed. So I force myself to reply to as many of his useless questions as I can as we walk together down the hallway.

"Oh," Taehyung says in a much quieter voice as we near the cafeteria. "I never got to say thanks to your brother. What's his name again? Could you tell him I said thanks?"

I send him a glance before begrudgingly replying.

"You tell him," I say, adjusting a backpack strap. "Just sit at our table."

It's a few moments more of walking until I notice that my companion is no longer by my side. I pause and turn around, seeing where he wandered off to. But Taehyung just stands a few feet back behind me, watching me with wide eyes.

"Uh, Kim Taehyung?" I say slowly, a question in my voice.

He blinks back at me, mouth slightly open.

"Your table?" He murmurs softly.

I let out slight breath, trudging back to him. Has this student never been invited to lunch before? I wonder if maybe I offended him in some way. I come to a stop before him, looking up to see what's wrong.

"Yes. Our table. Is that all right?" I ask him carefully.

Then Taehyung sends me the widest, most genuine smile I think I've ever seen in my life. And without a word, he nods, slowly at first, then very aggressively.

"Uh, okay," I mutter, turning back around.

Seeing the boy's overly enthusiastic response makes it very difficult for me to not regret asking him to eat with us in the first place. I already have Jungkook and Jimin to deal with. Now this one too? I pray that one addition won't increase my annoyance level too much.

"Exactly!" Jimin screeches.

His loud voice makes me grimace, hesitating slightly mid page-turn. Clearing my throat softly, I try to continue reading.

"That's what I say all the time!" He continues to yell.

The three younger boys had started out softly, or rather, at a normal volume. But then as their conversation grew more heated, they began to talk over one another, until finally, each was shouting just to get their words in over the others.

"No! Kim Woobin has the thickest eyebrows! Isn't that the most important feature for a man!" Jungkook is the next to yell loudest.

"Eyebrows!? No way! I think the facial structure is the most important, I mean, just think about Kim Soohyun! He's the perfect man," Taehyung argues, twice as loud.

Why are they arguing about male celebrities? I wonder. Then I let out a sigh and close the textbook, thoroughly regretting allowing these three to meet. There's no point in trying to read now. It's easy to drown out the regular sounds of the cafeteria, but when it comes to those sitting right beside you, their volume is very important in determining whether reading is possible.

"Yeejin! What do you think?" Kim Taehyung asks me suddenly.

I pause my picky eating and glance up to see the three silently watching me.

"Uh, Song Joong-ki?" I mutter in response.

I'm still not quite sure what they're arguing about.

"Ah! Of course!" Jimin exclaims in exasperation.

The bell rings at that moment, and I'm grateful to exit the loud room. Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung follow closely behind me, talking about female actresses now. I try not to be too irked by their loud chattering. Then, as we walk, I slowly begin to recall Jungkook's stoic eyes and stutter when we first tried talking to him; then Kim Taehyung's grin even after seeing him getting whacked over the head; I even remember Park Jimin's eagerness to make friends with Jungkook. And after these memories pass through my head, I suddenly realize that I'm not so annoyed at their lively chatter anymore.
