P.J.M

"THE TARGET is exiting the building; black bag on his person," I murmur into my ear piece. "Fae, I think he's leaving."

"Well, it's certainly a smart move. If he's as intelligent as we believe, then of course he'd want to hightail it out of there," she responds as though it were obvious.

I roll my eyes.

"I'm just reporting what I'm seeing. That's my job," I remind her in annoyance. "Plus, why would he call the police if he knew he'd have to leave?"

"Who knows. I thought he'd know to keep quiet. But now he's gone and reported Neuk Dae, so we'll have to save his butt in addition to apprehending it," she muttered.

"Maybe he's just a good person," I suggest, shifting to get more comfortable.

"Yes, well, his act of goodness is going to be the death of me. And him, literally. Let's just pray the police don't show up at the scene on time," Fae tells me. "Now please focus."

"Okay, okay. Anything for you, noona."

Fae audibly sighs in annoyance over my ear piece. Grinning, I slip off of the platform I'm positioned on as Min Yoongi continues down the dark street way. He's quicker than I gave him credit for. Clicking my tongue in annoyance, I take a running start, then leap over to the next building. Daegu has always been my favorite place to roof hop, as the buildings were rather close together in the more condensed city areas.

I jog down the fire escape of this next building and land on the gravel as silently as possible, just as my target passes the alley I've just landed in.

"Target moving quickly. I'm in pursuit," I report.

I stick my hands in my pocket and hunch over as I step onto the main street. My eyes scan the area as I trail him.

"I can't believe I finally get to meet him. Now I can ask him what he's so bent on finding," I say excitedly.

"I've already told you a million times. He's looking--"

"I know, I know." I sigh and tilt my head. "But wouldn't it be so romantic if he was searching for a long lost lover?"

"No one would waste that much time looking for a girlfriend," she scoffs.

"Don't say that. I'd spend the rest of my life searching for you, Fae noona," I flirt carelessly.

It's best to do it over an earbud than right to her face, otherwise I'd be taking a beating.

"Keep your eyes on our target, runt," Fae warns.

I shake my head with a smile and quicken my pace. A police car drives by at a reasonable speed at that moment, but it causes Min Yoongi to visibly tense and move closer to the dark buildings. The car is, no doubt, heading for his apartment. Not to arrest him, no, but perhaps to question him. It's a good thing he'd emptied it, otherwise he'd definitely be in some trouble. The whole computer and data collecting gear set up was impressive. The guy is one step away from legit genius status, or probably already there. And I've never even gotten to say one word to him in the long months I've been tailing him.

"I was so close yesterday. I could've been like 'sorry, by the way I'm a huge fan,'" I say in regretful recollection.

We'd run into each other at his school, but he hurried off before I could say anything.

"You better pray we won't be meeting him tonight, Park Jimin. That's the last thing we want!" she reminds me, loudly.

"Aish!" I grab the earpiece and grimace. "I know! Keep it down please!"

"Shut up! You're being too loud!"

"Me?! I'm going deaf here!"

"You're going to lose him! He'll hear you!" She hisses.

I rip out the bug in annoyance. But when I look up again, Yoongi is gone. I curse under my breath and speed up my pace to a steady jog.

"She's going to kill me," I tell myself aloud. "Crap, crap, crap."
