My seventh life was one of busy times. I was born back within the world which I'd before chosen as a magical beast into the life of a human child. It was an accident, really. For me, who's already experienced a human birth, the changes were not new in least. Therefore I felt that the strained situation I was in was nothing to become emotional over. In simpler words, it was an easy thing not to cry as I exited the womb. Though at this point my mind has not fully formed and therefore had a harder time of comprehension. Meaning I did not yet understand that this knowledge came from past lives. All my little mind could understand was that the actions I took were not of the average child's.
It was by two years of age that I'd become fully aware of me reincarnations. My mind, at this time, thought simpier thoughts-
My elder sister is acting strangely. I noticed when I went wandering around the house because lunch was late. This wasn't anything too unusual, Seeing as mother was out; There wasn't anyone else to keep this daydreaming elder sister of mine on track. I eventually found her pacing in the entryway. As I'd said, strange.
The world I'm living in now is a slightly rustic lifestyle compared to the 2000's of my past life. Though the history was different. There seemed to be a mix of medieval times and early European culture, yet the mindset of the people were far ahead of their times.
Women weren't required to wear dresses. In fact, I wasn't even sure if this world had dresses. Instead, most people trained in combat and therefore required the use of proper coverage. My elder sister and mother were the same way.
My sister hadn't yet turned 12, which was the age to be called an adult, but was left to take care of me while our mother went out. Which she does a lot. My sister, Jie, also seems to be learning combat-related activities from one of mother's friends. This is something I can only tell form the way she tries not to complain about it to me. Though hearing her groan each time she moves and tossing and turning all night doesn't hide it very well. Through this it wasn't hard to deduce what was happening given the pastimes of the people in this world.
I carefully crawl backwards down the stairs towards her, "Jie?"
Through the bars I watch her turn abruptly, as if she'd just been pulled from her thoughts. "Mei!" She hurries up the stairs and scoops me into her arms. It must not be a hard feat for a trained eleven-year old girl to pick up a two year old because she does so easily. Though usually she'll let me walk on my own, even matching my pace. I wonder what all the fuss is about? Did she realize I was about to start chew off pieces of my bed to stave off my hunger? Or... maybe not, as she's taking me back upstairs- and away from the food.
"Mei Mei, something happened, I'm going to take you outside okay? I need you to be good for me, okay? Can you do that?"
I replied calmly, even though I was confused.
"Good girl, I'll have auntie give you a nice treat for me alright?"
I hang around her neck as she loosens her grip, eventually letting go completely as she realizes I'll hold myself, and begins tossing a bunch of my things in a bag. I had no idea this was going to be the last time I would see my sister- or any of my family- for a very long time.
