The girl I first saw when I came to this world shifted uncomfortably under my gaze.

"Um... Are you still mad at me?"

"No." I replied honestly. At first, I had rambled on for a while, complaining, sometimes yelling, but now I was thinking about something else. I cocked my head to the side, "Does your hair change color?"

She furrowed her brow. "N-no... not really?"

Of course she would be confused, it's a confusing question. I can't blame her for being confused.

"Akaki Zhu-tan Shi, is the new one bothering you?" A boy, about my size, sat down next to me. I was about the size of a 6-year old, by the way. I hadn't seen him before so he was probably visiting the woods or something. I hadn't me a lot of the other members of my new family yet. Including him. He seemed to think that I was bullying Akaki Zhu-What Now?

"What?" I looked at him.

He shrugged, "I was just making sure. It's not like we know anything about you, yet. Maybe you're the type that likes to go around bullying little girls."

I shook my head, "No, not that. I mean, I was just wondering why I didn't notice her hair was pink when I first saw her..." I trailed off, glancing at her again.

The girl in front of me had bright pink hair. The ridiculous sort that you only see in cartoons. I thought that bright hair colors like that would be cool in real life, but this is honestly just weird. Like... It's kind of freaking me out. Everything else about her, on the other hand, was normal. Light brown eyes, a gentle look about here, nose and mouth and ears. The whole lot. Her figure was even exceedingly average. Thin with long limbs and a slight curve to her lower back to accentuate her femininity(which was a good thing for her because she didn't have anything in the chest department).

Though... I guess everyone is the same now. Including me. Cute butt, little waist, flat chest(Stop, mee. I'm going to cry!) long legs and pretty fingers. Just... that hair!

"No, stop distracting yourself, me." I turned back to the boy, "The name!" I turned back to her. I almost didn't want to ask. But I did, "Is that really your name?"

At that, she perked up, "Ah! Yes! You will also get one!" She smiled and the whole chair-circle seemed brighter. "Don't worry, once we are all back we will find your name, too!"

I blinked at her. I wasn't sure where to start. Did I tell her I already have one first, or that I didn't want one? Maybe I should tell her that that wasn't what I was getting at. Her name is ridiculous and long! No way am I going to be calling her that for the rest of our lives! Which is forever, by the way. I'm immortal. Well, kinda.

I realized I'd been staring at her like she's an idiot for a while now so I took a deep breath, "I already have a name" I shook my head, trying to show her that I really didn't want my new 'family' to give me some terrible name like hers.

She giggled, "Oh, you don't have to use it. We have a few who had names in their past life and prefer them. But this is different. It's like..." She shrugged one-sidedly, "Reading your conscious? It's like giving the person that is you a definition. Don't worry, It's painless. Mostly."
