Just Like I said, it a piece of cake. Especially if you have unlimited stamina. It didn't even take me three hours! Okay, I know I'm guessing and all, but I don't think it did. Maybe closer to, like, two and a half? But-like i said- It's a total guess.

It was boring, but I past the time singing. It's a great pastime of mine I haven't had much time for recently. It was good to take the time to practice with a new voice. I can totally do soprano now! But I didn't know any of the songs here so this meant all that I sung was in my language. You know, meaning Japanese, from my previous world? Duh~.

The city was surrounded by a guarded wall. I tried to pass through the four-doors-high entry but the guards stopped me. Oh shit- this is a little frightening- I've never been held at... pole end... before... Wait, are these guys serious? This isn't even a spear! It's just a long stick!

Is it okay for a city to be this lax? Oh, though I guess I didn't expect it to be guarded in the first place? Hm. Total inner dilemma.

"Who are you?" The gruff voice of the guard on my left reached my ears before I could ponder on it further. It seemed they were understanding that I wasn't going to talk first.

I looked at him. A pole might not be as threatening as an actual blade but it was still scary in the hands of a... small-ish man. Was everyone here tiny? They must not make eating a habit. Even so, these guys were larger than any of the girls in my tribe. Even the tall ones that looked the most like guys.

"You want the whole thing?"

He glanced at the other guard.

"Whole what?"

"My whole name."

"I-I just want to know why you are entering the city."

"Oh. For pleasure. I need to find a man that can assist me. Sexually."

They glanced at each other.

"Um... Oh! I'm a Bard! How about that?" I put my fists on my hips and tossed my chin up, feeling proud of my last-second thinking. Though I made this pose the two sticks crossed in front of my made me nervous. They wouldn't suddenly fall over and hit me, would they? Are they stable?

"A what now?"

"You know, I sing and tell stories. I played D&D before, so I know. Sometimes - this is on the D.L. - but sometimes a bard will even sell information you can't get anywhere else. They are an essential part of any good inn for entertainment, and a great source of information. If you pay the right price, that is. Yup."

"Uh... Go-go ahead." One guard removed his stick.

"What are you doing?" The other hissed at him.

"She said 'essential'." The one on the right shrugged.

The left one hesitated before finally lifting his stick.

"Thanks..." I passed between them cautiously. I wonder what that was about?

A little ways down the empty stone road I'd passed the East Middle Aged houses and made it into the main district. "Wow." People everywhere, of all colors. But only one shape. -_-
