Demola's POV

*

I mentally play Sophie's reaction as I spoke earlier again and again in my head.

She looked surprised at my actions when I said them but luckily, she's not objecting so I guess that's a good thing. She walks to her bathroom and comes out after a while, looking ravishing in her sweatpants and tank top.

I'm guessing she couldn't have taken her bath.

It's just for a few minutes she was in there. I feel myself reacting to the sight of her merely cleaning her face with the towel hung on her wardrobe.

I just can't help it.

"Sophie."

"Yes Sir?" She turns around and I smile at the brightness on her face. I frown at the title she started using after the night I shunned her.

"Call me Demola. We resolved this didn't we?"

She giggles lightly. I feel myself harden in some unmentionable places. Her voice is melodious, amazing!

Why can't I control myself?

"Okay. Yes Demola?"

"I love the sound of my name on your lips. Come here."

"I said I would think about it, moreover you should be preparing for work. Oli would be awake anytime now."

"It's your duty to wake her and I am keeping you busy right now." I reply smartly.

I alight the bed like a predator slowly trailing its way towards its prey.

Her eyes grow wide for a while and then relax after looking straight at me. It's like she is reassuring herself that I won't hurt her in anyway and to think about it, I should've noticed these signs earlier on but I didn't.

I make a mental note to ask her what that's about. She acted the same way last night and she also mentioned step dad when she was having a panic attack.

She didn't tell me anything about having a step-dad, though she said her parents were late and I am not sure if it's a step dad she was referring to as her dad. I'll ask her later.

Also, after waking up, she didn't remember anything about last night.

"You know I meant it when I made those moves earlier."

She shrugs with a pout that almost has me groaning at how adorable she looks.

"I still can't believe you just apologized. You're clearly up to something." She eyes me warily.

"Believe me Sophie, I feel bad for the way I acted that day. Still, it wasn't my fault... considering you're still so young and all."

She glares at me and looks away. "I'm not a kid and also won't be the first person dating someone older but since you have an issue with it...." She knowingly trails off.

I do an eye roll.

"I no longer have an issue with it. Also, you're mature and all already," she looks at me as if she wants to protest but I am not through with her yet. "So, now you'll know you are taking care of two people." I tease.

"Hmm. Does that mean I'll get double payment from now on?" She wiggles her brows, picking out a top from her wardrobe and trying to look unaffected by the discission while observing the top.

I pull her towards me in one swift move and cradle her in my chest.

"I'm serious Sophie. I want to date you. Be my girl, I'll take care of you. I want to be there at all times. I'll confess I really like you. I was denying my feelings for you and that made me push you away but now I know it's the right thing. Be my girl." I hope I'm not being too cheesy.
