Chapter 5: Clues and Investigation

//Eri’s POV//

It has been 1 day since Hillary was kidnapped. And we don’t know what to do! I hired a private investigator so we can easily find her.

*FLASHBACK~*

“I’m so hungry bro, where the heck are they? It’s almost time for our next class!” I said to my brother.

“We just wait for them, okay? I’m sure they’re about to come here… oh! There they are… but someone’s missing” –Kram

I saw them, but with a tense on their face. Vinz looked so scared.

“ERI! KRAM! HELP! HILLARY’S MISSING!” –Vinz

“WHAT?!” I was shocked when I heard that she’s missing

“I think she was kidnapped. She said that she’s going to the main library to meet Vinz. But when I saw Vinz here at the canteen, I got confused.” –Yel

“WHAT? THE MAIN LIBRARY IS A RESTRICTED AREA! NOBODY IS ALLOWED THERE!” pabulong na sigaw ni Eri samin.

“OH NO~ We should find Hillary! Now!” –Kram

We all ran to the Discipline Office to tell Mr. Lee Rafael about the incident. Mr. Lee was also shocked when he heard about it and he immediately called the Dean to tell about the incident. After that, we were given permissions to go and find Hillary since we are her closest friends. We are also excused to our classes/subjects until we find Hillary.

We investigated the Main  Library, since the library is a restricted area, we called help to the school guards.

“Kuya! Pwede pumasok? Kelangan namin hanapin si Hillary!” –Nevs

“Ah, sya ba yung nawawala? Sige! Pero ingat kayo sa loob ha? Pag may naamoy kayong di kanais nais o bigla kayong nahilo, mag takip kayo ng ilong at lumbas agad ng library.” –Guard

“Okay po! Salamat! Tara!!” –Nevs

We all came in to the main library. This is the first time I saw the main library.

Dim lights. Old books. Scattered paper in the gorund. I wonder why Hillary didn’t knew about this library.

We all searched for clues.

“CELLPHONE NI HILLARY‘TO AH!” –Yel. She was in the 3rd table.

“Pero may password phone niya. VINZ! Alam mo password ni Hillary?” –Nevs

“Uhmm, ano ba? Pattern ba siya or numeric?” –Vinz

“Pattern…akin na ako maghuhula. Hmm. Pano ba…ALAM KO NA! Ma-Kpop tong si Bestfriend! So ang password nya is… *slide here slide there* DONE! Logo ng EXO(Miracles in December Logo)” –Vinz

Then Vinz looked at the message. We also looked at her messages. 10 unread messages. And all of those messages are from Vinz. Then we looked at a message that is not saved in Hillary’s Contacts.

“It’s from 0922-345-6789… Bestfriend! Si Vinz to! Wala na ko load.  Punta ka ng main library mamaya sa Building of Law. May sasabihin ako sayo. Now na!... TEKA! DI KO NUMBER TO!” –Vinz

“Malamang Vinz hindi sayo, duh?” –Yel.

“Wag nga kayong mag-away dito! Tss.” –Nevs

We all decided to go out of the room because we’re starting to smell something unpleasant.And while we are walking towards the door, I noticed something at the Librarian’s Desk. A piece of paper and a ripped red  fabric.I took the paper and fabric and got out of the Library.

“What’s that?” my cousin asked me and pointed at the paper and fabric I’m holding.

“A piece of paper and a ripped fabric. I found this at the Librarian’s Desk.”

I opened the paper and read what’s in it.

“#1234  Mapayapa St. Maingay Subdivision, Lipa, Batangas City… It’s an address”

I immediately called my Private Investigator to help us find Hillary.

While we are walking back to the canteen we saw Britanny and her friends and  she caught me looking at the piece of paper I’m holding.

“Hey English gurl, what’s that?” –Amber

“Uhmm, i-it’s nothing.”

“Oh, I heard The Campus Nerd has been kidnapped. Hihi. Goodluck finding her.” –Britanny

But I heard her whisper something.. if I’m not mistaken she whispered “You’ll never find her. I’ll make sure she’s dead before she ruin my plans.”

Now, I’m getting more curious about that girl.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

*bzzt bzzt*

Sir Justinn calling…

“Hello Sir Justinn?”

[I found the place! Come here! Now!]

“Yes Sir! On our way!”

Call ended.

//Vinz’ POV//

“Sir Justinn found the place! Let’s go there now!” –Eri

Nag panic nanaman kaming lahat at kinakabahan na. Sumakay na kami sa Van at pumunta ng Batangas. After 3 hours na biyahe at paghahanap, nag stop kame sa isang abandonadong mansyon. Maganda yung mansyon kaso halatang napabayaan na. Pamilyar ang mansyon na ito sakin. Di ko lang matandaan kung kelan ko ba nakita tong bahay na ‘to.

“Nandito na pala kayo.” Sambit samin ni Sir Justinn. “Nagtanong tanong na kami sa mga kapitbahay kung sino sino ang mga nakatira dito sa mansyon na ito, ni isa walang may alam. Mukhang baguhan lang sila dito. Mahahalata mo naman sa mga bahay dito, itong mansyon lang ang natatanging madumi ang harap. Walang caretaker dito. Pero napansin naming bukas ang gate at pintuan. Kaya nagpasya na kaming pumasok at mag-imbistiga.” –Sir Justinn

“May nahanap na po ba kayong clues? Nandyan ba si Ary? Yung bestfriend ko?? NASAN NA??!?!”

“Uy Vinz! Mag hunos dili ka!” –Nevs

Naiiyak na ako.Huhu. Gusto kong magwala! Nasan na ang Bestfriend ko! Nasan na sya?! Bakit di parin nila nahahanap?! Akala ko ba magaling na imbestigador yun? Huhu.

“Pero may isang bata ang nakakita na may tumigil daw na itim na van sa harap ng mansyon na ‘to Kahapon. At umalis din daw. Nakita nyang may binubuhat ang isang lalaki na babae na naka-blue polo shirt, pink pants and chuck taylor. Walang malay daw ang babae at mukhang binugbog dahil nakita daw niyang may sugat ang mukha ng babae.” –Sir Justinn

“ANO?! BINUGBOG NILA SI HILLARY?!” –Yel

“Wait Yel! We aren’t sure if it is really Hillary that the kid saw. But, who is that boy the kid is talking about?” –Kram

“I think we should go back to Manila.” –walang gana kong sinabi.

Lahat sila napa-nga nga. Nagtaka. Ang Bestfriend ni Hillary sumusuko na.

"WHAT?! NGAYON KA PA SUSUKO? BEST FRIEND MO SUSUKUAN MO?!" -pagalit na sinabe sakin ni Yel. Pero bakit ganun? Nawawalan ako ng pag-asa :’( Pero di pwede, kailangan kong mahanap si Hillary, at aamin na ako sa kanya. Aamin na ako.

Mahal na mahal ko sya, di lang Best Friend ang tingin ko sa kanya. I love her so much.
