Chapter 23

"You fucking monster" I yelled. I was beyond enraged, the look in my father's eyes remained pitiful. My blood was boiling, Ashley's blood dripped from my from hands reminding me of his sin. I felt like yelling my heart out and ripping everything to pieces. On the outside I looked cold, frozen. My emotions burst out occasionally, but I'll never show my opponent my true colors. "You just loved your daughter, enough to capture her heart. I'll make sure psychopaths like you go to hell" I said nodding nonchalantly. I clutched onto my teeth darkening my expression. I reached my back pocket for my gun. "No please, I won't do it again. Please don't do it" he said beginning to tear up. Looking at him one last time, I smirked. I pulled the trigger with no regrets. Blasting endless bullets into him. Quietus.

2:45 am

I woke up gasping for air, a mellow breeze flew in between my curtains. My candle flickered in the corner of my room. Squinting my eyes I noticed a figure standing there. They were short almost like a kid. "Ashley?" I questioned as I reached for the lamp. I turned it on but all that was left was an empty corner. That's strange, this hasn't happened in a while. I rubbed my eyes trailing into Reign's room, joining her in her bed.

The smell of coffee hit my nose causing my eyes to open. Looking beside me was an empty spot. Walking out of her bed, I slowly creeped into the kitchen. "Want some?" Reign asked while preparing her cup. "No thank you" I responded. "Did something happen last night?" She said while walking out the kitchen. "I had a dream and thought I saw Ashley" "What was the dream about?" She asked stopping in front of me. "It was when I killed my father...." I said looking down. "Maybe she did visit?" Reign suggested. "Maybe" I said shrugging.I walked back into my room to see my phone vibrating. Who's calling? I turned my phone over to see Kai facetiming me. I quickly answered. "Hey bae" he said happily. "Hey" I said taken aback from his nickname. "Get dressed I'm gonna take you somewhere" he declared. "Okay, I'll give you my address" "Alright cool, see you then" he said ending the call.

I was finally home alone, Reign had just left to attend to her boyfriend's needs. Suddenly the doorbell rang scaring me. I ran over to the front door to see a smile on Kai's face. "Come on my car still running" He said tilting his head. I sighed shaking my head. I walked outside locking the door. The sun scored into my eyes blinding me. I walked towards his car door entering quickly. "Dammit" he said gripping onto the steering wheel. "What?" I asked. "I forgot to open the door for you" I kissed my teeth rolling my eyes. "Corny, just drive" He backed out my driveway proceeding to his destination. "So where are you taking me?" I asked. "Does it matter? You're with me" he said taking a quick glance. I sat there in silence slowly getting warmer. "Tell me something I don't know" he requested. "Mhmm, you're my first boyfriend" I said shrugging. "Really? Didn't you and Jordan..." "We kissed but we weren't in a relationship we was just playing around" I explained cutting him off. "Oh" he said smiling to himself. "Who was your first kiss?" I asked curious. "Uhh, I think her name was Stephanie. We were in middle school and had to kiss for a dare" I nodded understanding the circumstance. "So how many girls you've been with?" "Not many. Only one" he said smiling. I screwed my eyebrows wondering what he was smiling so hard for. "It's you, idiot" he said laughing. "Oh" "I don't really date but you're different. I'm willing to toss my messy past away" "messy past?" " I guess you could say I slept with a lot of girls but It wasn't anything too serious. I know I seem like an absolute man whore but I was young and clueless" he said owning up to his past. I stood silent awkward out by the topic. I've never slept with anyone. I respected the fact that he told me this but at a total lost for words. "How about you? Who was your first?" He asked. "First kiss?" "First fuck?" He said raising his eyebrow. "I still have my card" I said looking off into the window. "What?" He said with a slight scoff. "I have morals and as sloppy as I can be, i don't like to show people all of me, the real me" I said lightly. "I can understand that" he said nodding his head. Silence filled the car as he drove through Miami's bearing heat.

We pulled up to what looked to be a museum of some sort. Both exiting out the car we looked at the place in curiosity. Walking towards the entrance Kai latched onto my hand interlocking our fingers. I glanced down at my hand, smiling to myself. Inside I was able to finally figure out where I was at, a planetarium. We entered this dark room sitting comfortably next to each other. I've always wanted to come to a planetarium and I finally get to have that chance with him. The show started gravitating me into another world. The star glittered around the room. I almost forgot I was even in a room. My body felt like it was floating round the bright balls of life. My eyes widen as we saw the galaxy from a distance. Colors of all types crammed into the rotating spiral that I call home. I felt at home, almost as if this was all too familiar. The warmth from the stars refueled my energy. Something wet disturbed my adventure, I wiped my nose unaware of the liquid. Sniffles really? I pulled in all my mucous stopping at its taste. Is that blood? I glared at my hand noticing my deeply stained imprint. I didn't think something like this would happen again. I should've took my medication before I left. I detached my hand letting Kai know I was going to the bathroom. As soon as I reached the washroom I quickly soaped away the leftover trails of blood. Hypertension is a bitch. I rushed back into the previous room sitting down next to Kai. "You good?" He asked. "Yeah". I continued to admire the show in awe. "Wait come here" Kai said. "Hmm?" Our faces met catching me in the middle of my breath. His fingers touched my chin bringing into his lips. The room went dark, with our lips still touching. We grew even more eager for our sensational touch. Bright lights instantly shined indicating the end. I broke our lips apart, getting up from my seat. "Lets go" I grabbed his hands leading him outside. Few employees handed out mini glass balls resembling earth. I looked at the shimmering ball in interest. The sun wasn't as prominent as it was before. We walked towards the car getting silently. "What's next?" I asked. "You...pick" he said with a pause. I rolled my eyes from his original intention. "I'm hungry so...." "Okay, I know a place, but I wanna kiss first" he said innocently. "I just kissed you inside" I said screwing up my face. "So" I sighed cupping his face. I pecked his lips but was dragged into a deeper one. Our lips caressed in sync igniting that same spark that I will always feel. I couldn't help but crave for more. His touch was like a drug to me. His hands stroked my cheeks. We both drifted back into our seats, "You got your kiss, now can we eat?" I questioned. "Yea..." he said starting the car.
