Chapter 21

My phone gradually started to heat up from our everlasting conversation. We decided to FaceTime each other since we weren't busy. We've been snuggled up in our beds talking for at least 4 hours. "So you're romantic yet you slaughter people" he said questioning my genre preference. "Well when you say it that way it sounds odd" I responded slightly laughing. "Come over, lets have a movie night together" he said emphasizing 'together'. "Let me think about it" I said teasing him. His expression drastically changed, bewilder by my gesture. "I'll come now. You don't live far anyways" I said shrugging. "You remember where I live?" He asked. "Yeah" "Stalker" he said teasing me. "Whatever bro. I'm on my way, so see you then" I said ending the call.

I arrived promptly at his house greeting his door with a gentle knock. His house looked different in the bright daylight. Freshly watered flowers arranged with several palm trees decorated the front lawn. A large fountain laid in the middle of the driveway sprinkling light blue water.Then the door suddenly opened before I could start to drool over his front yard. "Hey" he said in a warm tone. I smiled staring at his outfit. I guess he really wasn't doing anything. He wore a baggy white long sleeve with the most worn out plaid pajama pants. It's not like I looked any better. I entered his home and its scent reminded me of my grandmother's house, strangely. I guess it was that comforting feeling of home. "What should we do? I mean it's only 2" he stated. "I dunno" I said shrugging. He sighed walking to his French doors glimmering with views of his backyard. "Feel like getting wet?" He walking over to me. "What?" I released an awkward laugh while stuffing my hands into my pockets. He had finally reached me gently taking my hands out of my pockets and locking it with his. "The pool?" He stared into my eyes waiting for my response. "You have a pool?" I asked. "Yeah" he said nonchalantly. "Um ok, sure"

I found myself in his long T-shirt lingering by the pool. The loud sun cooked my skin as my feet swayed in the water. I was alone, waiting for Kai to finish changing. The pool was massive, I love my pool but geez his pool makes mine look like a joke. A waterfall accompanied with exotic rocks and other landscaping caught my eye. The water glimmered, blue as the sky above. I noticed his arrangement in the middle of the pool. Multicolored tiles formed a group of turtles and laid at the floor of his pool complimenting everything. The rest of his back yard was inside this shed like shelter, inside was a fully decorated kitchen with a built in grill and fridge. Outside of that was a hammock and other outdoor furniture."Wow" i said out loud.

The sound of the back door opening caused me to turn around. My eyes widen while my belly dropped. His body was flawless. He came out with only his trunks on. His muscles were defined and smooth. Tattoos covered parts of his body making him seem tough but sexy. I closed my eyes rubbing them a little. I faced the pool and continued to stare at my feet. A sudden splash came from the other side of the pool. "Come on, get in" He yelled. I stood silent biting the inside of my cheeks. I could hear him swimming closer to me. I saw his caramel skin flash in front of me, stopping at my feet. His head slowly arising from the water, with his eyes piercing into mine. Pretty brown eyes. "Come on" he said once more. I bit on my lip hesitating. His hands creeped up to my legs, cooling them off from the heat of the sun. I jumped in slowly into Kai's arms. My feet softly reached the pool floor with my head peeking out of the water. "See it wasn't that bad" He insisted. "I never said it was bad".

We both exchanged glares before swimming off to the shallow end of the pool. I stroked through the waters ending at the front of the pool. "Let's play a game" He suggested. "Okay" i said nonchalantly. "Let's see who can swim the fastest. Loser has do whatever the other person wishes" he said mischievously. "Alright, let's see who wins" I said competitively. "Okay. Imma count down. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1...." As soon as i heard one i took off. My competitive spirit kicked. I'm not usually a sucker and never will be. When i reached the opposite wall, Kai had seemed to already been waiting there. "What...the...fuck?" i said confused. "I won, sorry babygirl" he said smirking. I was taken aback by his nickname for me, unable to focus on my existing confusion and disappointment in my loss. "My dare is gonna be simple so don't worry" "What is it?" i said with attitude.

His eyes focused on my lips then back on my eyes. His aura poured out his body illuminating everything on him. I could feel his want for me. "Kiss me" he said breaking the silence. I slightly choked on my breath unable to say anything at all. He came closer to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. His head rested on my shoulder, pecking it as he looked back up to me. Slowly he leaned in as i naturally did the same. Our lips touched, mingling with each other. I tugged on his bottom lip going back for a deeper kiss. I inserted my tongue becoming hypnotized by his addictive lips. My hands locked around his neck bringing us even closer.

We eventually parted our lips catching a breath seductively staring at each other. I scratched my head a bit, ending with an awkward giggle. "You're so cute" He said still staring at me. Heat rushed to my ears and cheeks. He chuckled to himself noticing my cheeks. "Can i tell you something" he asked steering the conversation. "Sure" "Please don't feel like you can't tell me everything, even if it's the simplest things. I noticed that you were hesitant today and I just hope that we could be cool" he said reassuringly. "I'll keep that in mind. I guess i should warn you about myself since we're a thing. I'm a heavy load and not a lot of people can carry me" I said darkening the mood. He looked at me with a spark of interest in his eyes. "I'm here to carry you when you need to be carried. I'm here to listen when you need someone to talk to. I know it's really early to be saying something like this, but I'm vowing myself to you. I don't know i just feel something, that i can't say just yet" he explained. "What is it?" I questioned. He smiled at me, pecking my lips. "Secret" he whispered in my ear. I smiled rolling my eyes playfully.

One fool in love, another in despair. A pair made in heaven.
