SONA'S POV
Dev has asked me to become friends. Why should I agree so easily when he had been so difficult in the past?
"Common Sonakshi, I was a dumbhead back then U know na?"
"Whatever" I told and smiled sheepishly.
He came in front of me holding his ears with a pleading look. Aww.. He is looking cute
"Let me think about it. I ll tell u tomorrow for sure"
We both walked inside the hotel. Our rooms were almost opposite to each other. Once we reached, I heard some breaking noises from Rehaan's room
"Dev, what is Rehaan upto?" I was getting hell scared of his anger cz in my past, I had never seen him so angry. I couldn't blame anybody cz I was at fault.
"I will handle him Sonakshi. U go to ur room"
"No no. I ll accompany u"
Dev started banging on his door. "Rehaan, open the door" he shouted
"Dev, leave me alone for some time. I need some lone space"
"Rehaan, please open the damn door" he banged it harder and I could sense that he hurt his hand. As soon as Rehaan opened it, he saw me and he was about to close but Dev came in between.
"Dev, just tell her to go otherwise..."
I have had enough of him. What does he think of himself? I have to show him now
"Otherwise what?" I pushed him and we were in his room
"Get out of my room Ms Sonakshi" he said rudely.
I felt really irritated when he called me by my full name. I know when he is angry, he does that. I signed Dev to leave the room so that I can handle him. He was reluctant at the beginning but giving us privacy, he left the room.
"I m not going anywhere. We r not kids Rehaan, just behave yourself. Its your bloody wedding here and just take a look at ur room."
"Its none of ur business. Why the hell do u care?"
"I do bcz I m ur..."
"U r my what? If u r thinking that we r fucking best friends then let me just clear out everything. Its ur illusion that we could ever be back to our old terms. everything has changed now"
"We are best friends Rehaan and nobody can ever changed that. "
"Best friends dont leave u alone when u need them the most. U were not by my side when I needed u the most. During every hurdle of my life, I wanted u to be near me, advice me, console me and scold me as well. On what basis, u claim to be my best friend? Leave best friend, u r not even my friend"
A lone tear escaped my eyes. But if he didn't share anything or yell at me, then nothing will be sorted.
"U think only u suffered? What about me? U atleast had Priya and ur parents by your side but I had nobody around me to listen to somethings and nothings of the day."
"My parents got divorced" he blurted out and I saw him breaking down. I could not believe my ears. 'They got divorced? How and when?' Tears started flowing down the cheeks.
I went near him to console.
"I dont need ur sympathy Sona" he finally addressed me as Sona
"U know well how they fought on small issues daily. I was already going through a tough phase when u left me and their divorce was..." he was sobbing.
"I m so sorry Rehaan. I never knew u had such a bad time in these years." I hugged him tight. He was struggling hard to get out of my grip but I m not going to leave him.
"Dont melt my heart. I hate u" he said
I faced him, "Say that u hate me by looking at my eyes"
He diverted his gaze, "What? Say na.. I wanna hear"
"I cant" he replied
"I know u cant bcz u dont hate me. Do u have a oinch idea about how much I missed u?" I pouted
"I missed u more. I cried nearly everyday after looking at the pictures. Thank God, I got Dev and Priya."
"Exactly.. U had them but I had fucking nobody. I lived all these years alone far from all of u, no contacts nothing."
It was indeed an emotional moment.
"Why do u left suddenly?" his question pricked my heart.
FLASHBACK
It was the last exam of class 10. Now we all will chose different streams but I m sure, I can stay connected to everyone.
"Sona, we r going to Barbeque kitchen. Are u accompanying us?" Anisha asked me
"Of course" Rehaan jumped on me from behind.
"How was ur exam fatso?" he asked
"Great." I replied coldly.
"Sorry Sona. Its the last day."
I got a call from home to come as soon as possible. "Guys, I m not coming. I have to leave urgently"
"No Sona, its our last day of celebration. dont be a spoilsport." Rohit chipped
"Its not last. We will meet in the next session. Who is leaving?" I asked
"She is right guys. Shall I drop u?" Rehaan asked
"No, I ll go. U enjoy"
I hugged every one there without knowing tht it was actually my last day with them.
HEY GUYS, I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER CHAPTER. SONA COULD NO LONGER TOLERATE HIS BEHAVIOR. SHE HAD TO REPLY AND FINALLY SHE COULD MELT HIS HEART. THE FLASHBACK WILL CONTINUE IN THE NEXT PART ALSO. SORRY FOR NOT SHOWING DEVAKSHI PART IN THIS CHAPPY. THE STORY WILL HAVE TO FOCUS ON THE FRIENDSHIP OF REHAAN AND SONA.
