'I pray to u Jesus and wish that I never have to separate from my friends again in my life. I wont be able to bear it' Sona prayed to God in Se Cathedral Church, their first tourist spot. Since, it is a marriage, so they felt that it would be better if they start with some holy prayers. When Sona was praying, Dev's eyes were constantly on her cute face.
DEV'S POV
'What is she praying? I want to know'
"Hey Sonakshi, what did u ask from God?" I asked her
"Wishes are not said Dev. U should know this" she winked at me and went to Rehaan. I too followed her
"Where are we going next?" she asked
"U r free to go anywhere u want from now. No restrictions, just return before 6 to the hotel. There is a cocktail party in the evening for the bachelors" he told her
"That would be fun. U have thought a lot ha" she tease him
"Of course. Its my last day of freedom" Rehaan said and looked at Priya
"Mine too Mr. Rehaan and my would be husband" she told him
"We leave then. Bye Sona, Bye Dev" Rehaan went with Priya leaving us behind. She was also about to leave, "Where are u going Sonakshi?" I questioned
"Didnt u hear that we r free now and I can go anywhere. So, I was thinking to explore the city a bit. After all, I dont come to India often"
'Is she planning to go alone? Why? Cant she ask me?' my mind was full of questions
"We can go together" I chipped
"But Nitya wants u more than me" she giggled to her statement.
"I want u more", 'Shit! What have I said?' her eyes grew widened
"Means, I dont wanna go with her anywhere, Please save me" i requested
"Ok, lets move" she dragged me out of the church
"Dev...Dev" Nitya was shouting from behind
"Where are u going Dev?" she asked
"I m going with Sonakshi." I held her by waist and she grasped in shock
"But I was..." she stammered after seeing us like this. I noticed Sonakshi feeling uncomfortable, so I left her from my grip.
"We have to go, Bye" I said and excused myself from the two ladies
"Hey Sonakshi, are u guys together?" Nitya asked and it was audible for me. I wanted to know Sonakshi's answer
"No.. We r friends" she chuckled and then came to me. We walked together for some time in deadly silence.
"Why did u just do that?" she asked me
"To show her" I replied as casually as I could
"She assumed that we r in a relationship" Sonakshi said
"Let her think whatever she want. I dont give a damn about it. Lets not spoil the mood and go"

The whole day Devakshi enjoyed and talked a lot about their private lives. lastly, they were chilling out on the beach. Just then, Sona's phone rang
DEV'S POV
I heard Sona's phone ring but she was just looking at the screen and not picking up any call
"Sonakshi, pick up the call" I said
"Yes yes.." she reluctantly received it
"Hi Bihag" As soon as I heard a boy's name, some sort of possessiveness engulfed me. Who is this boy. She went away from me to talk to that Bihag. Is he someone special?
Sona returned after 10 mins.
"Who is Bihag?" I questioned
"My lover in San Fransisco" she uttered and I almost choked my drink. She patted on my shoulder
"U never told me that u have a boyfriend" I told her
"Why would I tell that if I dont have one?" she said
"But now...." she cutted me in between, "He is a colleague in my office. He likes me but I dont."
I dont know why but I got so much relief after hearing that.
"Since, u r very beautiful now, the boys go head over heels for u" I said
"Nothing like that ok. I m not interested in any kind of relationships" she lean on my shoulders and I felt so complete by her gesture
"U know what Dev, one week before, I was so lonely and unhappy in my life. I had no one who would listen to the nothings of my day"
"Nothings?"
"Yes. I had Andrew, my colleague and my parents to hear to the somethings of my day and no one was there to listen to the nothings like, 'I feel like having a chocolate pastry' and all these stuffs. I had started to consume alcohol frequently to avoid the problems and be stress free at night. I was living a mechanical life in my own machine world where I earn so much and am successful in my professional life"
I noticed her teary eyes and a pain in my heart.
"Why have u started drinking, I still remember that once u were scolding someone in the school who drank alcohol" I told her
"I know. I was so against it but situation compelled me to do so. ever since I came here, I slept without alcohol. I needed a person who would hug me and tell me that I am not as lonely as I think myself to be" now she was completely crying.
I could not have thought of anything else at that moment. Embracing her in my arms, I told her,
"No matter what happens Sonakshi, I m always there for u and call me anytime" I told her
"Stop calling me Sonakshi, call me Sona thats far better" she chuckled and smiled
"Ok Sona"
I was waiting to call her Sona and now, she herself told me. This friendship is pacing with the right momentum
