Back to Now

Fear rushes through my veins
Along with adrenaline
Like people running from their best dream
And worst nightmare

My brain blocks out the movie
And everything else
As I have my first kiss
On the couch

But the fear is faster
Than even my heartbeat
And the door locking
And my heavy breathing

Sitting against the door
Hearing your voice ask if I'm okay
My limbs can't move
My mouth can't move

My friends are in their own worlds
Maybe it's just us
There's a first time for everything
And everything is now

There's a first second time for everything
And everything is now

And if I could go back to now, I would
But I can't move
And all I can't feel are your breaths as they tickle my neck

If I could stop now, I would
But the last thing I will do is regret it
