- Jeremy's point of view -

"Where is that fucking train she's supposed to be on?" I gritted my teeth as her absence was getting on my nerves. "Calm the fuck down Jeremy. It's not her fault if the train is late. You can bash her all you want if she's not on it at all. She might be a little slow, but she's not stupid enough to let her friends get hurt by you." Dean said calmly. "So not only did ya get to know her physically, you figured her all out as well bruv?" I snarled at him. "You're still on about that? God damn it Jeremy, you need to get your shit together. I'm not going over this again."

At that moment the train Jaime was supposed to be on arrived at the platform. I kept a close eye on all the doors to see if she was in the crowd. After a few seconds she came into my view. "Well well, look who's here. So, did ya hold up the end of your deal birdie?" I asked her when she approached us. "Yes Jeremy, as a matter of fact I did. I fucked it all up, just like you wanted. Now can we please get in the car? It's freezing outside!" Jaime replied. "Fine, you're surely not stupid enough to lie to me knowing the consequences aye." The walk to the car didn't take very long. I put Jaime in the backseat as Dean took his usual place in the passengers' seat. I took my seat behind the wheel and started the engine. "So what now Jeremy? We're heading to Leeds right away?" Dean asked. "Well that's the plan bruv. The sooner we get back to business the better. We've got customers to serve." I said while looking in my rear mirror at Jaime, whose eyes didn't meet my own. "Let's head to the apartment first Jeremy, I need to pick up some stuff. Make sure we don't leave any traces behind of our business." Dean said. "Good thinking bruv." I replied with a sense of pride. "One day ya might actually be able to take my place when I retire" I said before bursting out in sheer laughter.

As I drove the three of us towards our apartment, Dean had turned up the radio to break the silence. "And now we have a special announcement regarding The Voice UK with special guests Paloma Faith and Ricky Wilson." "Well this should be interesting" I said while looking at Jaime again via the rear view mirror. I couldn't help but noticed the atmosphere around her just tensed. "Paloma, with the knockout rounds out of the way, how do see your chances entering the live shows?" "Well..." Paloma waited a few seconds to answer. "I think all of our teams have very talented singers under their wings. And I do have finale material for that matter. Although I have to admit there is one contestant that makes for some very good competition. And she happens to be on Ricky's team!" Paloma said with an enthusiastic voice. "Is that so? Well Ricky, care to shine a little light on that?" "Sure." Ricky replied in the same enthusiastic manner. "The girl we're talking about has an amazing voice to begin with. She can bring the songs to life in a way I've never experienced. But that's probably because she endured lots of hardships in her life. She's lived all across the world for that matter! Oh, did I just spill the beans without telling her name?" Ricky said quite embarrassed.

"She's lived all across the world? Birdie, please tell me there is another participant who's been living all around the world? Because my gut tells me chances are very slim there are!" As I turned around I saw Jaime break down in horror. "So it IS ya he's talking about! How dare ya lie to me? Ya fucking useless traitorous cunt!" I yelled at her. "Ya know what this means birdie, we're taking a trip to Ben's bar." "NO JEREMY DON'T!"
