Lindsay loved Alex.
No, that didn't sound right. I mean, she thought he was great. Of course she embarrassed me a bit, but she wouldn't be a very good friend if she didn't.
"He's cute too," she told me after he left. We had a movie night, which was a date that ended up being crashed by my best friend. Neither of us minded very much.
I groaned loudly, hitting her with a pillow. "Get your own!" I replied, thus starting a pillow fight that had us laughing for hours.
Alex told me he wanted to cook us dinner the next day. I didn't know he could cook and was surprised at the new information, but accepted anyway. I also didn't mention that I happened to be very good at cooking. Hopefully it wasn't burnt.
He said to be at his place by 5, but I was nervous and got there too early. It was only dinner and I figured he wouldn't mind too much.
It was 4:42 when I knocked on the door. After waiting a minute with no reply, I shrugged and dug out the key that Alex had given me when we became serious two months ago.
I slipped my shoes off at the door and hung my coat over the now-closed doorknob, then began my pursuit of my boyfriend. I later wished I hadn't.
