When I woke up the next morning, it was 10:33 am and I could already hear activity outside. I nudged Colin but he didn't wake up so I mustered up my strength and pushed him off the bed. He yelped when he hit the floor and jumped right up.  The bewilderment on his tired face made me burst out laughing. He just stood there trying to gain his senses while the tears rolled down my face. "Your face!!" I said laughing even harder. He started to chuckle too, "Damn Peachy, I gave you the best sex of your life right there and this is how you repay me?" he said acting offended. I shook my head and smugily replied, "Excuse me but it was I who gave you the best sex ever!"  He put his palms up in mock surrender, "Can't deny that!" he responded with a cheesy exaggerated wink. A few minutes later he had his swim trunks on and he told me to wait, "I will be back in like ten minutes, I got to grab something out of the car" and he quickly bolted out of the door. I shrugged my shoulders and text my mother and sister good morning and then flipped on a re-run of ellen.

A half an hour later and he still wasn't back I was starting to get restless. I got up and went to the bathroom, I took a brisk shower and then it hit me... I didn't even bring a bikini. I rummaged through my bag and pulled out the only pants I brought that weren't jeans, it was capri khakis. I found a simple blue push up bra and put it on. Eh, bras and bikini tops pretty much the same things. I texted Colin, "Is everything alright?" and 5 minutes passed without nothing. I fumbled with my fingers and declared to myself I was going to go find him! I grabbed my purse and swung the door open and almost collide with Colin. I clutched at my heart, he scared me! "Shit, Colin!" I gasped. He looked bashful, "Sorry" he apologized, "I didn't mean to take so long!"  I questioned him about what did take him so long and he said an ederly woman asked him to help carry things to her room and it wasn't just a single trip. "Oh" I simply said, feeling silly for getting frustrated earlier. He held up a bag, "I grabbed some muffins though so you can't be mad at me!" I kissed him and thanked him for breakfast.

After we ate, we headed to the beach. Colin motioned at my outfit, "I am sorry about the short notice, I shouldve grabbed a swimsuit!" he apologized. I rolled my eyes, "Do I look torn up about it?"  He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close, "I will never get tired of you sarcasm!" he joked. We stepped off the boardwalk we were on and start to tread across the sand. When we were close enough to the ocean but still in good distance to not get wet, I laid down the towel we had brought from the hotel room. I started to lay down it so that I could tan for a little while but Colin's voice stopped me, "Really? Annika, we are at the freaking beach and you want to get skin cancer!!" he said standing over me with his arms crossed. I meekly smiled at him, "Just for a little bit!" He gave his head a vigorious shake and let out a loud groan. Next thing I know he hooked his arms underneath my hips and was hoisting me up so that I was now over his shoulder. I almost had an urge to squeal and protest like normal chicks but instead I just put my hand underneath my chin and accepted what was to come. "I will drown you." I said bluntly. He laughed, "Yeah I'd like to see you. All 120 pounds of you taking on me!" His feet began to muddle through the water and I could see it build up until it hit his waist line. "Man this is really cold. I almost feel sorry for you..." Colin said with about a much sympathy as Monica Lewinsky. And then I was flying away from Colin, just tumbled backwards and my body was engulfed my the waves, I was thankful I remembered at the last second to close my mouth and eyes. I sprung out of the water, shaking my head as I did so. That water was cold. Colin just stood there grinning like a fool, I gave him a glare and jumped him. I had no chance of bringing him down with me, he was too strong. "You are so cute!" he said patting me on the head. I gave an exasperated sigh, "You are lucky I really like you or I'd have my hitmen come do the job for me!"

As I laid on the towel and Colin sat beside me, I smiled up towards the sun, "I can't thank you enough, I really needed this!"  He patted my knee is reassurance. I almost dozed off a little bit until I heard a beeping sound nearby. It got closer and closer until I finally tilted my head to get a better view of the beach. There was a man with something that looked like a lawn mower, it kept beeping steadily, "What is that?" I asked Colin. "I think it is one of those machine things used to find coins and such underneath the sand" he replied standing up and brushing himself off. The man was wearing swim trunks and an oversized hawiian shirt, and his tan face was being shaded by the sombreo he had onto of his head..I would guess him to be about 50 years of age. He smiled over at us and Colin spoke, "Hey man, cool thing you got there! Any luck?" he pried. The man's voice was rather high for a man and he responded, "No not yet, I've been at this for hours and I have gotten a few quarters and such" Colin wished him good luck and within seconds later his device went off, we both looked back curious. The man dug for a second a pulled out a white box and he flipped it open and just looked at it and then closed it with a confused look. His eyes caught ours so he made his way over. "What is it buddy?" Colin asked.

The man handed the box to him and Colin flipped it open and his eyes went wide, "Woah" he blurted out. He turned to me and held up the box so I could view and my eyes too mustve grown bigger than grapefruits. Inside was a diamond ring. It was completely white with a heart in the middle which was engraved with 8 miniscule diamonds and a big stone in the center. "Omg!!" I whispered, "Who would've--" I started to say until I notice Colin getting down on his knee and then I understood. I remember being 10 years old and tell my sister if I ever got proposed to I wouldn't cry because it was a happy thing not a sad thing but I was kidding my past self right now because they started before I had a chance to stop them. His grinning brown eyes looked up at me and he spoke with such authority but passion in his voice, "Annika Hope Thomas, I am madly in love with you as much as I was almost 5 years ago. I love the way your nose scrunches up when you smile and it reaches your beautiful green eyes! I love how you tug at your hair when you are nervous or frustrated! I love that you barely wear any makeup because you are already so gorgeous naturally! I love that you have to read a book twice just so you make sure you didn't miss anything! I love that you refuse to drink coffee unless you have a donut to accompany it! I love everything about you... I am crazy about you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you! Annika Hope Thomas, will you marry me?" I leaned down and wrapped my arms around him, "Yes, yes!" and then I stood back up while he slipped the ring on my finger. I kissed him and the world faded.
