"I seem familiar?" I questioned. She nodded and snapped her fingers. "I know" she said excitedly, "You were much younger though! Maybe 12 or 13, you and your sister came, Mildred..Molly?" she searched. "Miranda" I replied, my memory was foggy but I had a faint recollection. "Oh that is right! So has your fortune come true?" she asked. I tried to remember what she had said to me but I was coming up with nothing, "I am sorry, I swear I have short term memory only, I am not quite sure what my fortune was?" I honestly answered. She smiled and patted my arm, "That you would marry your first love dear! And you would own your own restuarant beside him"   I shook my head, was that what she said? It seemed really vague and simple. Also very off... Maybe she didn't recognize me from Colin's talks. "Well my fiance passed away but you know him, Colin?"

She gave me a quizical look, "Colin...umm should I know him?"  I was baffled, "Yes he passed away in 2010, he told me he comes to you. Lately things have been bad between us & he wants to crossover and I thought you could help?" I was stumbling through my words.  I was losing my patience. She had sympathetic eyes, " I don't know a Colin, honest. I wish I could help you but I just predict futures, I don't talk to the dead."  I began to shake again, "No no, he definitely told me he comes he" I said standing up. I paced the room, "I want to know how he can leave, he still is here with me! He said he talked to you!" I said starting to freak out. She stood up too and I could tell she was getting nervous of my behavior. "Sweetie, I really have no clue" she insisted. I was lightheaded, "I am not crazy" I yelled. She flinched, "I never said you were".  I spun around, "I have to go. I am sorry for bothering you" I said as I ran out of her house.

I was shaking and my vision was blurred. The tears were blinding me and I was scared of getting into an accident so I turned my blinkers on to show I was going to get off the road. A loud honk blared and I glanced into my mirror just in time to see the front of a truck slam into the car. I had no seat belt on and the force made neck snapped forward and my body left the seat. I closed my eyes and prepared for the worse.  My body crashed through the windowshield but the pain was minimal, the pressure had hurt. I stared into Colin's eyes and we went airborne. Our bodies flew over the railing and I tumbled in his arms down the drop. Finally we came to a stop. He rolled off of me and his breath was faint, "You almost died" he sputtered. Even though it hurt greatly I turned to look at him, "You saved me."  He was scarred not bleeding but his body had gashes. "I love you" I cried, feeling the tears slide down my cheeks. He reached out his hand and wiped my cheek, "I love you too."   I didn't know if this was real or not and I was terrified, "Are you really real? Am I just imagining you?" I asked him.

"I am as real as you want me to be" he replied sadly. I stared straight at the blaring sun, I wondered if that was what it was like when you pass over, do you see such a light and then suddenly you are in the light?  He dragged himself over to me and rested his arm over my aching body, "I will be here as long as you want, if that is what you want."   I kept staring at the sun and I heard sirens in the close distance. I don't know if I would ever know if Colin being here after all this time was my imagination or not but either way it wasn't fair to me to hold onto him. "I love you Colin. Thank you for saving me again, I wish you never had to do it the first time.... and letting you go isn't easy but I'm saying goodbye" I said through haggard breaths while I held onto his hand. He gave me a small smile, "I'd do it again if I had to" he kissed my forehead. My eyes dropped and I whispered, "thank you" but heard nothing back from him before I lost conciousness.

When I opened my eyes the first face I saw was my mother's and she let out a wail, "Oh my gosh!! thank god, thank god" and she buried her head into my sore shoulder. I lifted my head up as much as I could and was touched by the sight I saw. My sister and her girlfriend were here, my old coworkers, and Miss Vicky. Entering the doorway at the moment was Will with Mason in his arms. When he saw my face, he lite up like a Christmas tree and I couldn't help but smile back. I had a lot of people in my life to keep me company. I was going to be okay.
