                                                            March 16, 2012

I could feel the goosebumps forming on my neck as Colin led kisses along my jaw line and his fingers ran through my hair. I was trying to compose myself but it was hard, I could barely see the chalkboard through him and I was worried I would do something that would deem me insane. I was trying to not groan with all these people around. Right now, I was sitting in my Child Psychology class and Colin was on my desk attempting to arouse me and it was working. I tried whispering as quitely as I could, "Honey, please I am trying to concentrate" I begged. He pulled back and smiled, "I could be doing worse" he mused glanced down at my skirt. I glared at him and shook my head. If I could kill him, I would! He hopped off my desk and told me he would be waiting for me in my car. Twenty minutes later I was walked to my car and I could see him sitting in the passanger side. He waved at me and I waved back. "Hey wait!" I heard a female voice yell behind me. She was a petite girl who didn't look any older than 16 but her Princeton backpack alerted me that she was older. She had short black hair that was done in a french bob and emerald green eyes. "Do you happen to go past Riley's Tavern on your way to wherever you are heading?" she asked. "Uhhh yeah I do" I slowly replied, not sure where this was going. She reached into her pocket and handed me a ten dollar bill, "Can I please hitch a ride?" she asked bouncing on her heels. I looked back at my car and Colin has a quizical look on his face. I told her to hop in but keep her money, it wasn't an effort for me to take her. Colin crawled into the backseat while she settled in the front.

As we drove, I found out that her name was Millie and it was her first year there and she was going for law but she didn't know if she could handle the amount of schooling it required but she'd finish out the last two months. She had only moved near by two years with her boyfriend who was going also for law but he had been dreaming about it since he was 10. "So what about you, you are really pretty! Do you have a boyfriend?" she asked me. I didn't know what to say, did I have a boyfriend? Did Colin qualify as my boyfriend even though he wasn't physically here? And I didn't want to say the wrong thing because he was right in the backseat and I knew he was holding our breath. My face mustve read something because he blurted out, "Oh I am sorry, is it complcated? Cause I totally understand, I have been there before and it sucks so I feel for you" she rambled! I was relieved though and I nodded, "Yeah it is hard".  When I dropped her off at Riley's tavern she invited me to join her there but I told her I already had plans so she gave me her number. "Thanks" she shouted out as I pulled out of the parking lot.

We didn't talk about that question until we got back inside my apartment. I didn't really want to talk about it but I knew it would come because Colin never liked to just "not discuss things at hand". I heated up a cup of ramen noodles and sat on the couch. I flipped through the channels and settled on Ru Paul's Drag Race and minutes later he was beside me with his hand resting on my thigh, "Annika" he said sternly. I kept my eyes locked with the screen until it clicked off.  "Annika...please don't shut me out" he said quietly. I swallowed the lump at my throat, "Ok...I am sorry" I replied looking at his sad drawn out face. "Don't apologize" he said taking my hand, "Are you really happy?"   I didn't know what I was feeling anymore. I love Colin so much and these last few months gave me back a spirit of joy that wasn't there before but the future scared me, in reality we would never go the places I had dreamed of when he was on Earth. Could this really go on?

His eyes waiting my response but I just hesitated, I couldn't hurt him so I nodded and smiled at him, "Yeah baby, I am".  His eyebrows furried and he paused.., "Really?" he asked. I nodded again and kissed him, "Yes." Then my phone went off and I checked out the caller ID, it was my sister. I answered it, "Hello?"  She told me in one fast sentence she needed me to come over asap and then she hung up. I stood up quickly, "I'm heading to Miranda's place, she sounded panicked on the phone."
