Laila
Today wasn't going to be a good day. I wasn't in my usual mood when I woke up this morning. Today my heart ached for him even more than usual, because it was his birthday. Chris loved his Birthday, it was his favorite time of the year. September 15, 1997 was when he was born, I came into this world 3 years later. Also if I wasn't having a good day so far I doubt mom was.
My big brother turns 20 today wow. I'm still in bed, I know for a fact that I was going to be late for school, it was already 8:00. I didn't want to move though, it still doesn't feel real. I know he's gone for good but it still feels strange, I mean it's only been a month. It's probably already been 20 minutes since I last checked the time, it's probably been long enough. I decide to finally get up and get dressed and everything else before heading down to the kitchen. Mom wasn't out of her room yet, I don't know if she's asleep or just didn't want to get up. I make breakfast for myself and drive to school, I use my brothers car since he isn't here anymore. It's mine now, and every time I drive it I feel as though he's here with me.
Once I get there I notice nobody is in the halls as expected. I head towards the office to get a pass. "Good morning miss Rivers." The school secretary greets me and I smile in return. "Good morning Mrs. Paris." Although it was anything but a good morning. I grab the pass from her and went to class. "Ah Laila nice to see that you have finally arrived." Ms. Wood had this bored expression on her face. I went and took my seat next to Jenny. "You look awful." I rolled my eyes at her comment. "Thanks." I replied with a sarcastic remark. She then realized something was up and replaced her goofy smiled with a worried one. "What happened?" My eyes were watering and I'm trying so hard not to break down right there. "It's Chris's birthday and I miss him." I look up to meet her eyes and out of the corner of my eye I can see Liam looking at me.
The rest of Science class was pretty boring. I wasn't even paying attention to anything she was teaching. My eyes were growing heavy and I was about to fall asleep when the bell rang. I sighed and went to my locker but sadly someone was leaning on it. I thought she would go away but nope. "Blaire move." I snap my tone was anything but friendly at the moment. "What's got your panties in a twist Laila?" Laughing with her little goons at my oh so hilarious behavior.
I wasn't in the mood for her shit today. "I said move, because if you couldn't tell some of us actually want to learn." That was a lie, maybe if it was another day I would but I honestly just wanted to get this day over with. "Are you calling me stupid?" She had a shocked look on her face. "Sure now fucking move before I make you." Maybe I'm being a bit over dramatic about this whole situation but I don't even care anymore. At last she finally moved her body away from my locker and I got everything I needed for the next class. People already started going to their next periods and as I was about to go to mine but she grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.
"Geez what do you want?" She was really getting on my nerves. "I just wanted to let you know about my dad." With the mention of her dad it irked me even more. Well cause you see her dad was also mine. Blaire and I were half sisters, my father had banged her mom the same time mom was pregnant with me. He chose to be part of their family instead of ours. Maybe he could've at least spent some time with his other children but no he pretty much ignored us. "What about him?" I wanted this conversation to end already but I was curious on what she had to say. "Well he's getting married to my mom this weekend." She had a smug smile etched on her face and I felt as if my heart broke. Although he left mom when I was 6 he never got married to Ella, Blaire's mom. They were a couple I guess but they never actually got married until now. I should of expected this to happen but it still hurt to finally know that he was actually committing to this woman. He didn't even get married to mom. "Oh and my moms pregnant." She had a bitter smile, Blaire loved to make me upset.
Another child though, wow. I was gonna have another half sibling, great. "What was the point in telling me all of this?" I had to ask I needed to know why.
Her smile widened even more after I asked. She stepped closer towards me and put her hands on her hips. "Well because you're invited to the wedding, and daddy would be so upset not seeing you there." My eyes widened I was invited.
Ya hear that Chris, I got invited. No way in hell was I going. Oh and Brother, Happy Birthday.

Hey guys so this chapter wasn't that great. I wasn't in a happy mood when writing this so I'm sorry if it sucks. It wasn't funny or had Liam in it at all actually, it was more of a Blaire and Laila moment. Wouldn't say it was a good one but yeah. So who saw this coming, I tried to hint in the beginning that these two had a past. It still hasn't been really revealed why they hate each other but it'll come soon. 👌 anyways you know what to do, vote and comment.
