Holy shit..

I couldn't believe what I just experienced.. what just happened in the quick second?
As he kissed me, he knocked the air straight out of my lungs. He was gentle, enjoying the moment, until I pulled away.

"W-what was that..?" I asked; shocked.

"I d-don't know.." he said, glancing around. "It just happened.."

"Did you mean it?" I asked.

He took a deep breath. "Would you hate me if I said yes?"

I was stunned. "No.. Pony I wouldn't hate you. I'm just, surprised,"

"I know we don't talk much at all.. but my god, you're something Holly."

I didn't know what to say. I pursed my lips, helping myself stand up, and started walking back.

"I'm sorry," he said.

I stopped, standing there with my back towards him. I closed my eyes, sighing. I turned around, meeting up with his eyes.

"It's not your fault," I said monotoned.

"It's Soda.. isn't it?"

"Let's just go home,"

"No," he spoke. "I'm not going home. You like my brother, don't you?"

"Yes!" I blurted. "Yes, it's Soda alright? It's him and I can't help myself!"

He sighed, nodding slowly. "I'll walk you home,"

We started walking home in silence. I glanced at Pony once in awhile, he was probably thinking I was going to like him back, but I don't know.
Sometimes, it feels good when someone likes you, you know? It boosts my self-esteem which makes me think, do I really like Pony?
Soda was crossing my mind for only a minute. He's dating Sandy, he's happy with her, but Sandy doesn't deserve him. I know she doesn't. Ponyboy told me all about er' and how much he can't stand having her over when Soda invites her.

I was glancing up at the trees, then back down, glancing at my beat up converse as the hit the sidewalk.

"I'll see you later then, okay?" He said, as he started to walk off giving me a slight smile.

I thought for a moment. I felt really bad for Pony, I didn't mean to go off like that at all. Until something came out of my mouth.

"Let's hangout again tomorrow, after school." I yelled a bit in the distance, just noticing tomorrow is the first day I go to school.

He turned back around, sending me a smile; wide.

"Sure thing" he winked.

I walked into Bucks, seeing an odd couple full course going onto each other like their life depended on it. I rolled my eyes in disgust, and saw Buck, so I approached my way over there.

"Hey there little Winston," he smiled, wiping down the counter. "Dallas'll be home in a half hour, he's at the Curtis house."

"Figured," I spoke.

"What's going on with ya? You're blushing awful crazy.."

I furrowed my eyebrows, looking at Buck. I saw my reflection behind him, a big mirror behind all these wine and shot glasses, noticing my cheeks were flushed a shade of bright pink.

"Nothing,"

"Now come on, tell your friend what went on tonight!" He playfully nudged my shoulder, smirking.

"Well, do you know Ponyboy?"

" 'course I know that kid, see him all the time with his buddy Johnny and ol' Twobit,"
