Chapter 8: Movie Stars and Boy Bands

Shawn's POV

I was hyperventilating and everyone was trying to calm me down.

The show was about to start and I wasn't freaking out about that. It was actually because Diane and Morgan weren't here. Dani and El have tried everything and so has everyone else.

I don't know why I am doing this but they are who I have called mom and dad for the past years. They are the ones I lean on and talk to when I have something really bothering me. Even if they aren't really listening I feel like they are. But of course when this huge thing comes up for me they can't make it.

"Shawn, calm down." Paul said.

"Don't tell me to fucking calm down." I growl. Oh yeah and I get pissy in these kind of situations so it is best to leave me alone.

"Shawn Nichole Montgomery. We don't use that language." I froze and a full smile spread across my face as I looked up to a grinning Diane and Morgan.

"You guys came." I smiled and hugged them.

"Of course. Here take this." Morgan smiled handing me a package. I ripped it open and pulled out my own microphone.

The sound guys hooked it up and in no time I was pushed on stage. The crowd fell silent and so did I as I walked out on stage. It was the kind of silence I like to break.

"So hows this weather?" I asked smiling as everyone broke out into laughter. Good, now I just need to stop internally freaking out.

"Ok, so my name is Shawn Montgomery and I am the adopted daughter of Diane and Morgan Liastry. Actually, let's skip my background story and get to the point. No, I am not secretly One Direction all hidden in one costume but I am a great singer I hope. I will be doing six covers."

"Has anyone heard of the songs 'Ever Ever After' and 'Don't Forget To Remember Me' by Carrie Underwood?" Shouts and hollers rang out as the band began to play the intro to 'Ever Ever After'.

"Good well here are the first two songs."

I had just finished singing 'Grow Up' by Cher Lloyd when Simon told me to take a break and do twitter questions. Personally I hated doing them because people would ask about my family and what happened and I just hate talking about it.

"Ok, so this question is from @LilTyrantMiami. They ask if I like the guys. Truthfully I haven't met them but I can't wait to." I smiled picking another one.

After like five of them I decided to get back to singing. Not one person asked what happened to my parents and I was actually thankful.

"Ok, so to finish off my part I have three songs left. The first one is 'Playa Boi' by Cher Lloyd. The next one is my song with Morgan and it is called 'Southern Comfort Zone' by Brad Paisley and the last one is 'Funhouse' by P!NK. Hope you like them."

"Shawn, that was amazing." Dani and El smile pulling me with them as we walked into my dressing rooms. I panted out breathlessly nodding in agreement and gulping down the water I was given.

"Well Danielle and I have to go and say good luck to our boys. Wanna come?" El asked.

"I would but Diane and Morgan are here for only a bit and they want to take me to dinner and meet a few people." I smiled as the girls waved bye closing the door after them.

I locked the door before stripping out of my performance clothes and getting in the shower.

After getting dressed in a light blue dress littered with cherries on it and pulling my red pumps from Forever 21 on my feet, I headed out of the dressing room and down the hall to where the guards were. Paul was there and gave me a small wave before a different guard helped me out the back.

I slipped in the limo and rode to where we were eating dinner. It was a small italian restaurant near the hotel. Diane and Morgan were waiting inside and paps surrounded the door. One of my personal bodyguards, Harvey, helped me out and through the tough crowd.

When we entered the building I was crushed in a hug by Morgan first. Once he was done squeezing the living daylights out of me, Diane came and gave me a quick hug before leading me to a table where a few people sat. I only knew two and that was Melissa Taylor and Christian Vonboyant. They were both in an upcoming movie called 'Journey to My Heart'.

"Mel and Chris this is our daughter Shawn." Diane smiled as I shook hands with Melissa who would be playing Maryann and then shook Chris' hand who would be playing Oliver.

"We have been dying to meet you." Chris grinned. He was the same age as me so I wasn't too worried about not getting along. Mel glared at him. "Well I have."

"Well there's always someone in Morgan and Diane's movies that I also beg them to meet." I laugh and sit next to Chris who was much nicer.

During dinner we talked from the movie and Diane's new fashion line to me being a singer. Melissa barely said a word and was texting non stop during it all. It finally got to the point where I had enough.

"Melissa how about you?" I asked trying to be nice. We were talking about how our chicken alfredo was delicious. Her's hadn't been touched.

"As if I would touch this garbage." Morgan and Diane shooks their heads calling for the bill.

"Hey Chris want to come over? I am going back to the arena to pick up the lads, Dani, and El, if you want to come." I smiled standing.

"Yeah, that would be cool." He grinned following me to the door. Harvey, Chuck, Ivan, and Dennis helped us through the crowd and to the limo. Chuck and Dennis stayed with my parents while Harvey drove and Ivan was in the passenger seat.

It didn't take us long to get to the arena and get inside through the back. Paps got snaps of us and both Chris and I signed some stuff but we weren't allowed to talk to the paps. Once we were in the safety of the building we collapsed to the ground laughing. Ok, I thought we were safe.

"You came back." Dani yelled as her and El ran towards me and Chris who were on the floor. Now remember I am in a dress so this isn't the best way for anyone to see me.

"Only because Chris is with me." I said not being able to keep a smile off my face.

"Whatever. Just come on. Simon said you can meet the lads." El smiled as she pulled me and Dani, and I pulled Chris with me. Harvey and Ivan stayed back to talk with the other bodyguards including Paul.

We reached a door that was black and had multiple locks on it. Loud shouts came from the other side but once Dani opened the door everything went quiet when we walked in. I was curious as to why so I looked up and everyone was staring at me.

"What?! Did you get the bad news that there was no more food left? How is that possible?! Do you know what this means?! I am dead." I gasped clutching onto Eleanor's shoulder and crying.

The room broke into laughter, me quickly joining in. I looked around the room. Five boys; five smiles; five laughs; five best friends; five bandmates; but only one boy whose smile lit up my whole world. Can one boy, I have just met, make me instantly fall in love just by smiling my way or is it just something that happens to every other girl out there?
