Chapter Twelve

"Lauren..."

I looked at Jackson who called me in the middle of the night.

I sighed and looked at my door just to see if it's really closed because I dont want my Eonnie's to hear that I was supposed to meet Jackson awhile ago.

"Yes, why?"

I bit my lower lip as I heard how I sounded so bitter asking him that. I shut my eyes closed trying to contain all my feelings.

"Im really really sorry." He sounds so dissapointed too.

"What happened? Is there any problem?"

The other line went silent for awhile. I played with my fingers while waiting for his answer. I dont think I will be able to sleep if I didnt get his answer right now.

"Seulgi is sick and she called me. Im really sorry, Lauren."

I bobbed my head trying to understand and accept his reason. He's a very good friend and someone like Jackson would do everything for a friend especially if that friend is having a hard time and I have to understand that.

"Is she.. is she fine now?" I asked while my eyes are closed.

"Yes. It's just overfatigue."

I nod my head once again as if he can see me. I dont know what to say anymore. This is the first time that I ran out of words while talking to him.

"Im really sorry, I didnt know that something like that would occur. Im sorry, Lauren." He said sighing.

"Im really fine. Dont worry. Sleep now, okay?" I said trying to assure him.

I am fine. I have to convince myself that I am just fine because there's nothing wrong with his reason. A friend needed him and he just did what is right.

I ended the call already because I told him that I will try to sleep already.

I am not yet sleepy, I just dont want him to think that I am still not okay with what happened.

I opened my instagram account and was shocked when I found out the reason why I have a lot of notifications again. I always got a lot of notifs but it's different tonight.

A lot of people tagged me in one of Jackson's latest post. It was posted one hour ago.

I was about to type a comment too mentioning Bambam because of his damn comment when I realized that Jackson just posted a picture of mine with that caption and the fans might interpret it in such ways.
