"How are you not in love with those boys?" Maria asks me while looking at all the boys push eachother into the waves on the beach. We invited her to stay the day with us of course and she accepted seeing we were all nice *cough cough no* people. I laughed at her comment.
"I am in love with them Maria, every single one." I say smiling at them as they wave to us. Michael gets ninja kicked by Calum into an on coming wave. I am reminded of our failed body surf lesson from a few hours earlier. Maria eyes me suspiciously.
"And how does that work?" She asks. This makes me laugh all the harder.
"They are like my brothers!" I exclaim smiling. She still looks confused. She looks away from me, brushing her thick curls away from her eyes looking back out at the boys.
"But they all love you more than that Stella." She says quietly as the boys approach us. I sigh and lean back on my towel.
"I know..." I trail off as the sit down beside us.
"You know what?" Calum asks us. I shake my head like its nothing.
"Nothin guys.' Maria said smiling to them. They all shrugged. They were boys who easily let things slide. They always have.
"Gosh I am so starved." Luke moaned and leaned back on the sand. Ashton plopped down next and laid his head on my stomach. Maria shoots me an eye brow raised look that I respond with a shrug to. Ashton's floppy folded curls tickle my skin slightly. Calum jumps onto Michael's back and Michael runs around us ina cirlcle.
"Ride my stallion ride!" Calum screams. Michael drops to his knees and throws Calum off his back. Michael collapses and groans.
"On no my stallion is dead." Calum says sarcastically walking away. He sits down next to Maria and winks at her. I shoot her a look of her own which she responds to with blushing cheeks. Michael sits down in the shade next to me and lets out a sigh of satisfaction.
"I said I'm hungry!" Luke yells louder this time. We all glare at him.
"What are you, five?" Michael says sarcastically. He and Luke had always picked on eachother. But they were like brothers we all knew they loved eachother.
"I want piazza!" Luke grumbled. Immidiatly Michaels glance darted up he nodded vigorously his blond overly dyed hair shaking everywhere.
"Oh! Me too!" He shouts and Luke glares at him.
"Now who's five!" He shouts laughing.
"Still you!" I chuckle earning my own glare from Luke. Michael is on his feet dragging me up beside him and racing towards the house.
"We are getting pizza you all suck if you dont come!" I screamed over my shoulder at the our friends. They all scrambled up and raced after us. Michael and I collided into eachother when he stopped short to open the sliding glass door.
"Shit Michael!" I muttered. He responded with a laugh before pulling me on through the house and out the front door. We hopped into Ashton's car and waited for the rest of them to come out. First came Luke (which was expected) who tripped over a rock and fell onto the lawn.
Then came Maria and Ashton running hand in hand with Calum trailing behind them at full speed.
"I got an idea!" Michael said excitedly. He put the car in drive and backed out of the short gravle drive way. Our friends ran after us banging on the locked car doors screaming profanities making Michael and I laugh all the harder. Michael finally slammed on the breaks causing Calum to slam into the back of the car and collapse on the pavement. I threw open my door and ran over to Calum who was sitting on the ground with the biggest scoul on his face. Michael stumbled out of the car, barely able to function he was laughing so hard. He grabbed Calum by the shoulders and heaved him up. We all got in the car (Maria had to sit on Luke's lap which didnt upset Luke to say the leaste) and drove to the pizza place.
As I glance over at Michael who was still laughing over Luke and Calum wiping out, and I look in the rear veiw to see Ashton, Calum, Maria and Luke all reanacting Michael and I slam into the glass door, I just think, holy shit. I am the luckiest girl alive.
