"Well this is fucking boring." I hear Calum say. The rain is pattering against the roof of the beach house. We had planned to go to a bonfire tonight on the beach but it's nine o'clock and its pouring. They are all very disapointed of course but I am enjoying a re-reading of The Fault In Our Stars. The boys arnt much for reading. I look up to see what they are up to. Michael and Luke are battleing one another at some video game. Shooting at bad guys all that shit.
Calum's face is literally pressed up against the window looking outside and Ashton is laying on the couch with his hood pulled over his head (presumably napping?). The room lights up brighter as a flash of lightening shoots across the sky and I jump.
All at once a there is a huge clap of thunder and the power is out.
"Fuck! I was at my high score!" Luke yellls in the darkness. I hear Michael chuckle.
"What? Was it a two?" I hear someone smack someone. Im guessing it was Luke and michael.
"Ow Luke! Your fists are too boney!" Yup. Michael.
"Shut up Michael!" Luke groans. I grab my phone and turn on the flashlight and look around at my friends who were pawing around in the pitch blackness.
"Ow mother of great heaven!" Ashton yelps as Calum falls on top of him by mistake.
"Why the hell is it so dark?" Ashton asks blankly. A band of thunder aand a flash of lightening answers his question as the rain becomes harder, slapping against the roof. I get up from my spot on the window seat and make my way into the kitchen. I grab a few flash lights. As I am walking back another blast of thunder shames the house.
"Ahhh holy shit!!" I hear Calum yell. I run back into the living room and see all four boys huddled together. I crack up at the paniced look playing on their faces.
"Boys calm down its just a little storm." I say as I toss them each a flashlight. Michael's hits him in the face making Luke Calum and Ashton die laughing. Michael runs a hand through his freshly dyed green hair and glares at the three other boys. Luke grabs his sweatshirt and says he is going to bed. Just before he heads up the stairs he says, "Hey Michael think fast!" Before throwing nothing at him but Michael cringed anyway. this made us all laugh the harder. Michael flopped us all off.
"Fuck you guys I'm leaving too!" He says getting up and walking towards the stairs, flashlight in hand.
"Don't swear!" Ashton yells after him. Michael turns back to us and balls his fists
"I do what I want I'm punk rock!" He growls. Calum glances over at him and mutters, "No your not." Michael groans and runs up the stairs with Calum following him. I love those stupid idiots. I grab my book and sit on the couch next to Ashton. I shine my light awkwardly on the pages.
After a few minutes, Ashton speaks.
"How are you reading that? Isn't it hard to see." I realize he is totally right. I drop the book and lean against his shoulder. I shut my eyes and begin to feel drowsy. Ashton's arm creeps around my shoulder and holds me tightly.
"I fell in love with the way you fall asleep... Slowly, then all at once." I hear him whisper, taking my favorite line out of The Fault in Our Stars.
"I fear oblivion." I whisper back before falling asleep.
IDK WHAT CAME OVER ME I SUDDENLY HAD ASHTON FEELS AND TFIOS FEELS AND WTF. NEEDED TO QUOTE IT I REALLY DID. OKAY VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION THAT I NEED YOU EPICLY GLORIOUS UNICORNS TO ANSWER IS WHO (IF YOU ABSOLUTLY HAD TO) SHIP STELLA WITH OUT OF ALL THE BOYS. THIS IS IMPORTANT.
