You made your way into a packed Starbucks and searched the crowd, looking for Jack. Your eyes locked with a pair of familiar green ones and You walked over to where Jack seated in the corner.
"Hey loser," You teased as approached.
"Hah, hey (Y/N) How are ya?" Jack joked in response. He opened his arms and You accepted his embrace willingly, Jack always gave the best hugs. We hugged for a little longer than necessary but You didn't want to pull away.
Jack and You had met through mutual friends about 4 years previously and had been inseparable ever since. You'd always had really mixed feelings for Jack and as much as You wanted to pursue a relationship You didn't want to risk our friendship.
Jack handed me a cardboard cup,
"Chai tea latte?" You asked.
"Always"
You drank from the cup as we headed back outside. It was cold out and the grey clouds in the sky threatened rain but You didn't mind. We wandered through London, updating each other on everything that we'd been up to in the week since we'd last seen each other. Time spent with Jack was always precious for you but You couldn't fight the feelings You had for him and You wondered if he'd ever thought that we could be anything other than friends.
"So what about your love life, (Y/N), anyone special I should know about?" Jack asked suddenly, as if he could read your mind.
"No, sadly I'm alone as always" You replied nervously.
"Good," Jack said "I mean, good that you're not seeing anyone... I mean, not that I would want you to be alone.. It's just I kinda thought that maybe me and.. I donno.." Jack cheeks went red and he turned away from you.
"Jack, you don't have to be nervous around me" You touched his arm, "you can tell me."
Jack turned to face you and cupping the side of your face slowly leaned towards me. His lips were inches from yours when suddenly buckets of torrential rain started falling from the sky. You and Him were drenched in seconds and was about to run to take shelter in a nearby bus stop when Jack grabbed your arm.
"(Y/N), all I've wanted to do since I met you was kiss you, and in the past four years I've never been so close to doing so as I am now," Jack shouted over the sound of the rain which had now soaked us both completely. "So, I'm not going to let rain, a hurricane or zombie apocalypse stop me now" Jack pushed you dripping hair from your face and kissed you deeply, You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed back. You don't know how long you both stood there in the rain kissing but You didnt even matter because as far as You was concerned nothing in the world could have been more perfect!
A/N: I kinda loved writing this even if it was a major cliche, (I guess I kinda relate to the whole loving your best friend thing) but seriously who doesn't want to make out with Jack Harries in the rain, haha. Okay, so I hoped you enjoyed this I'd like to say I'll update again tonight but I have a lot of homework to get through. Alyssa xx
