Jungkook pulled up to Taehyung's apartment and glanced over at the passenger seat. His heart jumped a little seeing the boy curled up, fast asleep. He looked even smaller than usual and Jungkook knew he'd feel guilty about waking him. Instead, he carefully got out and came to the passenger side. The raven haired boy carefully lifted his best friend out of the car, carrying him bridal style. He pushed the car door shut with his foot and hurried inside. What if he finds it weird I carried him in? Jungkook, in a very hesitant manner, laid Taehyung down on his bed and gently began shaking him in an effort to wake him up.
"Tae? I need you to wake up now." He whispered softly.
Taehyung slowly blinked his eyes open and looked up, connecting their gazes. Jungkook tried to steady his rapid pulse and tell himself Taehyung's eyes weren't as pretty as they looked.
"Did I fall asleep? I'm sorry! That was probably an inconvience-"
"No, no, it's okay. I just needed to wake you so you can wash your face and whatever. I'm going to sleep on the couch. Do you need anything while I'm up?"
"I should be hosting, it's my house." Taehyung smiled slightly.
Jungkook shook his head, waiting for an answer to his previous question.
Taehyung glanced looked around his room, thinking to himself.
"I-I, um, could you possibly get me a glass of water? I'm going to go change and wash my face."
"Of course," Jungkook smiled, setting his phone down and exiting the room, shutting the door behind him.
He skipped to the kitchen and found a plastic cup in the cupboard. He filled it up with ice and tap water, before slowly making his way back to Taehyung's room. He had said he was going to change so there was no need to rush back yet. As he made his way to the hall, he stopped, a table next to the couch catching his eye. He set the water down and walked over, picking up a picture frame. It contained two pictures of him and Taehyung in their senior year of high school. It was the second year since they'd become friends and Taehyung's mom insisted on taking a picture of them on their last day of school. Jungkook smiled at the memory. In the photograph on the left, Taehyung was on Jungkook's back, holding on tightly and smiling brightly. Jungkook was holding onto his legs and smiling as well. In the other photo, Jungkook was looking down at the floor, smiling even wider, and Jungkook remembered he was absorbed in the thought of going to the college with the boy he was carrying.
"Jungkook?" A voice yelled out down the hall.
Jungkook was snapped out of his flashback and grabbed the cup of water, reminding himself to mention the pictures to Taehyung later.
Jungkook grabbed his phone from the beside table and turned to Taehyung.
"I think I'm going to head to sleep now," Jungkook murmured.
"Jungkook...could you possibly sleep in here?"
Jungkook barely got his "yes" out before Taehyung jumped up and hugged Jungkook for probably the third time that day. He has a thing with hugs today, I guess. Jungkook wrapper his arms around the boy's waist. The two stood there for at least a minute, Jungkook enjoying the warmth of the boy and how he felt resting in his arms. Maybe I am in love with him. That caused Jungkook to loosen his arms almost instantly in panic and dislodge the hug.
"It's getting late, w-we should sleep," Jungkook stuttered out before laying down in bed next to Taehyung.
He stayed awake for a while, staring at the apartment wall. He watched the light to houses outside go off and cars slowly drove away. The feeling of Taehyung being in his arms was still clinging tightly to him, almost suffocatingly so. He liked that feeling.
