The man in front of Taehyung smiled. "Please, take a seat."

He gestured to the single chair in front of his desk. Taehyung sat in the chair slowly while looking around. There were two bodyguards by the door and Lazuli was standing by Taehyung's side.

Taehyung gulped down his saliva, along with his calmness. He was nervous out of his mind and his hands were clammy. He could feel the small, nervous burps that wanted to come up from his throat, but he forced himself to not burp in front of the man that determined if he would live or die.

"Did you know your father borrowed money from us?" the man asked.

Taehyung nervously shook his head, hair slightly falling down into his eyes.

The man chuckled. "Oh—I'm sorry. I forgot my manners. My name is Park Jeongsu and I'm the leader of one of the biggest mafia in South Korea."

Taehyung nodded. He already had an idea he was involved in something dark.

"Anyway, your father is a little slow in paying us back, so you're our bargaining chip. We'll keep you for—hmm, let's say two weeks—and if your father doesn't pay us back in the time, we'll sell you to someone for money," Jeongsu said.

Taehyung froze. Lazuli told him that already, but it sounded even worse and scarier from a bigger man. Jeongsu had a smile on his face, but the way his eyes crinkled up or how his smile would twitch into a smirk frightened Taehyung.

"Here's what we're going to do. You're going to call everyone you know who is currently worrying about you—not your father—and tell them you're fine and you're on vacation. Now, when you call your father, tell him you're with the mafia. He'll understand immediately. Lazuli, take him back."

"Yes, sir."

Lazuli wrapped her arm around his upper arm and pulled him up. Taehyung followed as she started walking before him.
