Author's Note;
So, I know I said I'd either update on Mondays or Tuesdays, but I'm doing both this week because I found that the last chapter was a bit short and the next one is too, so I figure I might as well get this filler chapter out of the way & plus, now you all get a double update! :)

Annabel's POV:
"I'm in danger?" I gasp, eyes widened.
"As long as I'm here, you're not," Calum corrects me.
"But, why? I don't understand what's going on," I reply, pacing back and forth.
"Annabel, the less you know, the better," he sighs.
"I'm afraid," I gulp, fiddling with my thumbs.
"There's no need for fear, I'll protect you," Calum reassures me.
"Do you promise?" I mumble, finally looking up.
"Always and forever," he replies.
"Pinky swear?" I wonder, sticking out my pinky.
"Pinky swear," Calum chuckles, linking his pinky to mine.
"When will you tell me the truth?" I question, pulling away.
"When the time comes," he answers, vaguely.
"Why me?" I ask, trying to connect the dots.
"Inconvenience and bad luck, I suppose," Calum shrugs and I nod my head. "Are you hungry?" He asks out of nowhere.
"I've lost my appetite," I reply, shaking my head.
"Would you like me to take you home?" Calum questions and I simply nod my head.

Once I'm back home, to keep my mind off of things, I finish my homework and catch up on last week's episode of The Vampire Diaries; damn, Stefan is hot. While I'm at it, I do a load of laundry and wash the dishes. Finally, at around 9:30 p.m., I change into a pair of pajamas and slide into bed, ready for sleep to pull me under and allow me to escape reality, if only for a few hours. Luckily, sleep comes quickly and I'm lost in my dreams before I know it.
