Annabel's POV:

I wake up the next morning and hop in the shower, rubbing shampoo and conditioner in my hair and scrubbing my body. Once I get out, I dry myself off quickly and after brushing my hair, I leave it to air-dry while I prepare for school; I brush my teeth, wash my face, and then head into my closet to pick out an outfit. With spring on it's way, slowly but surely, I slip into a pair of jean capri's, a maroon crop-top sweater with a white daisy in the middle and a pair of white Van's. Then, I pad into the kitchen and grab an apple as I head out the door, my backpack in my other hand.

I arrive to school and my classes drag on until I come to Social Studies.

"Good morning, Bel," Calum greets me.

"Same to you, Cal," I reply, taking a seat beside him.

"Class, please copy down the notes on the board and then you may use them to guide you through the worksheet that I am handing out," Mrs. Pollings announces, as she hands everyone a worksheet.

"How are you doing?" Calum asks, sounding genuinely concerned.

"Under the circumstances, I suppose I am doing well, but I'm still pretty frazzled," I admit.

"As of right now, everything is under control and we can go on living our average lives, but how long it will last is uncertain," he tells.

"It's the uncertainty that my fear revolves around," I whisper, but Calum still catches it.

"Uncertainty is apart of life, darling," he sighs, getting back to copying down the notes enscribed onto the board. I proceed in copying down the notes myself, but everyone once and awhile, I peek a glance at Calum and smile at the way his tongue sticks out when he's in concentration and his eyebrows slightly furrow. "Take a picture, it'll last longer," he smirks, causing me to flush and turn away immediately. "I'm only kidding," he starts. "I'd be a fool to complain about having a beautiful girl like yourself staring at me."

I retort, ignoring the fact that he called me beautiful, "I was not staring." Calum chuckles, shaking his head as he begins the worksheet, just as I do. About 15 minutes later, Mrs. Pollings collects our worksheets just before the bell rings.

"Do you have any plans today?" Calum inquires.

"I might," I taunt.

"Well, in the case that you do not, would you like to do something?" He asks.

"What do you have in mind?" I reply.

"Mini-golf?" Calum suggests and I stifle a laugh. "Excuse me, Annabel? I take it by your laugh that you are implying you're too cool for mini-golf, hm?" He sasses.

"It's not that, I just wouldn't take you for someone who plays mini-golf," I elaborate.

"Annabel, as I've already said, you know little to nothing about me," Calum reminds me.

"Well, let's change that," I proclaim.

"How about dinner this weekend?" Calum offers.

"How about now?" I retort.

"Are you suggesting that we skip class?" Calum raises his eyebrows.

"I suppose so," I shrug my shoulders.

"Alright, I'm in," he declares as we wander over to my locker, where I fish out my car keys. "So, where exactly are we off to?" Calum questions.

"My apartment," I answer.

Author's Note;

Hi, so this chapter is pretty short & the next chapter isn't too long either, so I may double update later today. However, chapter #8 is long!
